Delicious Ja-Jang-Myun!. My family and I always get this noodle dish, and it's good every time! The staff was very friendly to us even though my baby son screamed a couple of times, I would recommend this place to my friends. It's delicious.
Fresh chinese.
We have been going here for years. They have recently remodeled in the last two or three months and added lotto. They cook more authentic than the corporate or americanized chinese places around town. As for the reviewer who said 'jar sweet and sour', I have to disagree, it is nothing like that at all. They use fresh crisp vegetables and pineapple.
They have the absolute best hot and sour soup of any place we have been. The bean sprouts are not wilted to death, they throw them in right before they serve you. The egg rolls have a fantastic flavor. They don't corn starch them to death like some places. You can actually taste the flavor of the vegetables in it
. The prices are not expensive either. They have a good lunch menu and we always do the dinners that are a combination.
The staff is very friendly, and yeah, they do have a heavy accent, but not to the point you cannot communicate. We drive over 50 miles, one way, to eat here and then go home, passing many chinese places along the way, we've tried in the past.
If you are looking for more authentic and less americanized food then you can handle this place. If you like fresher tasting food then this is the place to go. We have never been disappointed here. My son, who is picky about chinese, actually asked me to take him here the other night.
Not my cup-o-tea.
This may sound harsh, but this was possibly the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The staff was nice, and pretty easy to understand, but the food was disgusting.
I don't know if the place has gone downhill since these other reviewers ate there, but I am shocked that it was given such good reviews. No specials at all on the weekends, so my husband and I paid $7.25 each for some steamed rice and one entree. His sesame chicken was hard as a rock. The "chicken" part was so hard and dry we could barely even pull it off the bones. My sweet and sour chicken was soggy and the sauce tasted like it was out of a jar. Not to mention it gave both of us upset stomachs.
I'm glad we went here because now we know not to go ever again. Next time we will stick with our good ol' Wan Lung in Clackamas... Excellent prices, food, and service.
FANTASTIC Chinese food!.
My husband and I were in the mood for some chinese and so we decided to give this place a try. I'm so glad we did! They have many options for both lunch and dinner and the food is just fantastic. I'm a huge fan of the Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Spring Rolls.
We were seated immediately and the service is very fast. We had our toddler with us and they were very helpful in getting him a highchair and giving us extra plates so that we could share our food with him.
The only drawback is that the staff has VERY thick accents, so we did have a little trouble understanding them. But they understood us with no trouble and were very polite.
great Chinese on the eastside. This restuarant is by far the best Chinese in the City. Their service is fast and the prices are right. It has the typical decor but that doesn't deter from the food. The portions are large and the ingredients are fresh. While this restuarant is not a destination one like PF Changs, for us eastsiders or anyone in the eastside, check this one out.
