I'm writing this to highly recommend Jason Gattman. My husband and I went to Standard TV & Appliance to look at televisions. Jason was very knowledgeable and assisted us with our needs. We ended up buying a television, as well as other miscellaneous equipment. We are not "techies" in any way, and Jason helped us understand how the equipment will work. Jason was very patient, extremely polite, and made us feel very satisfied that we made the correct choice.
I recently bought a used refrigerator and the guys who helped me were great. Matt Roma and Jake Thomson listened to what I wanted, made some suggestions and didn't try to get me to spend more. They really worked to stay within my budget. Couldn't be happier.
I want to commend Matthew Roma for creating a happy ending to our Christmas dinner. We recently purchased a new stove from STVA and it just would not function in a manner that was acceptable. Problem after problem occurred with a final plea on Christmas Eve morning. Matthew found not only a brand new range to replace our problematic one but also a friendly, professional and thorough installer named Doug who arrived around 2pm and was finished by 3:15!! My new range roasted veggies perfectly for the Christmas dinner we were hosting. Thank you for making a very stressful situation come out so well. It really was nothing short of miraculous.
The "Standard TV & Appliance" story's end: The two senior techs assigned to my "case," David and Tim, returned to my home this morning and in just over an hour replaced the entire broiler. This was a big job and they did it cheerfully, quietly, and well. They kept their promise to make me whole, and agreed to the terms thereto. In other words, the company did right by me. I've got fire: looks like there'll be some Christmas broiling after all! Thanks, Standard TV & Appliance, most especially supervisor Stephanie and techs David and Tim, for keeping your promise. The *problem* is neve the problem; the problem is what you do about it. Thanks again.
I'm writing this to commend Kelly Coffman. She is in Customer Relations at Standard TV and Appliance. We were having ongoing problems with a washing machine we bought from Standard two years ago. After the third repairman left and the machine was still not right, I went to Standard on 82nd. I was put in touch with Kelly. Kelly listened. I mean she really listened! She made sure she understood. She then outlined the course of action needed to remedy the problem. Seventy two hours later, Kelly followed through and we now have a new washer. It works! Standard will continue to receive our business. It is because of Kelly. She did an awesome job!
It started with your sales person,
Teresa Dettrich. She listened to my dilemma. I needed a fast solution for an obsoleted dual fuel downdraft range/oven that needed to be installed in a unique environment in a remote area of Oregon in time for an anticipated large group coming for Thanksgiving dinner! She did extensive research on a workable replacement, negotiated the availability and arranged for an installation with the week. The warehouse crew was wonderful in retooling the appliance from natural gas to propane. The installation team from A-1 Installations was very professional in arranging pick-up from your warehouse and delivery to the rural area of Goble. The installers, led by Ronnie, faced some additional challenges in repositioning the down draft, rewiring the 220 outlet and cutting out a small section of the copper-topped island...all done with a can-do attitude and in a timely fashion.
You are fortunate to work with such caring and talented people, and we were so pleased we called Teresa back to arrange for a replacement for our microwave! She upgraded us to a convection microwave unit that we will pick up Wednesday at your Beaverton store!
Again, our applause to you and your staff. We certaining appreciate the service, and that service has convinced us there is nothing "standard" about Standard TV & Appliance.
Our family for generations has used STAA and once again they did not disappoint. My Father-in-law used them for putting appliances in new homes that he built and just yesterday our refrigerator went out and we went down and got a new one and got it delivered and installed today. No one can top those Gander fellas I tell ya. Thank you STAA for always great service. Want to thank in order our Salesperson Lois, our cashier Brian and the delivery guys Jack and Sergey.

Salesman Jeremy gave me a great deal on our new fridge. Kris and Chris installed it the next day. They were punctual, friendly, neat. It was an overall excellent experience.
I have bought a number of appliances from Standard but never had to have service on any of them until recently. The Service Tech was very knowledgeable and Kelly Coffman in Customer Service was absolutely outstanding. The Tech was ontime and explained everything I asked about. The delivery men were on time and also very helpful. The very best part of the entire transaction was Kelly Coffman who makes you feel right at home and very happy that you bought your appliances from Standard. I never realized how special Standard TV & Appliance was until I needed help. Because of their attention to my needs during my service requirements I will be doing all my appliance and tv business with them in the future.
