Excellent Breakfast Service!. My father-in-law was visiting from California, and we were taking him to PDX for a weekday, late morning flight. We decided to go to IHOP first.

Right when we walked in, the person who was cashing someone out acknowledged we came in and said they'd be right with us. We didn't wait long at all and another employee came to seat us. She asked if we preferred a table or a booth. Within no time we were seated and had menus and drinks. All of the morning staff were very friendly!

"Brenda" was our server, and she was EXCELLENT. My dad was concerned about catching his flight. She acknowledged that and said they weren't too busy that morning, so it wouldn't be a problem. She was aware of beverage levels and kept us hydrated the whole time.

The price was GREAT ($4.99 for two eggs, hash browns and a special treat from their "Despicable Me" menu they're featuring.) We'll be visiting the IHOP in Beaverton soon to try other Despicable Me menu items.

Breakfast served all day and pancakes served a variety of ways are the hallmarks of this diner-style restaurant.. In Short
The first International House of Pancakes opened in a suburb of Los Angeles in 1958 serving a menu of hearty breakfast favorites. Today the restaurant still serves its signature dishes like the original buttermilk pancakes and pigs in blankets: sausage links wrapped in hotcakes. Other breakfast items include waffles, omelets, French toast and crepes. Non-breakfast offerings include sandwiches, burgers, entree-sized salads, and dinners like T-bone steak, pot roast and herb-roasted chicken.

Bad Service... Surprise, Surprise. This restaurant has the worst service ever in the evenings. If you HAVE to eat here, try going in the mornings. They might have better servers. Otherwise stay away unless you've got nowhere else to go.
