SKIPPERS SEAFOOD & CHOWDER HOUSE. GETTING THE TRUE STORY. After reading the comments from the first two, I have to believe that you are talking about the Skipper's on North 82nd. The address listed on this Skipper's is located across from the Winco Foods. I know for fact that the fryers In the restaurant located at 10859 SE 82ND Ave. are cleaned every night, and the oil is changed weekly. If you are going to write a review that will make or break a business, maybe you should get your facts straight.

SKIPPERS SEAFOOD AND CHOWDER HOUSE. In spite of the reviews i read, We decided to give it a try as sometimes ex employees will make false statements or customers get upset over the smallest errors and start bad rumors, But i have to say the food was not that great, alittle greasey. speaking of the grease, the deep fryers had a build up of caked on grease. And something else, not to sure what? Oozing down the inside and the outside of the fryers looked as though they have never been cleaned from opening day forward, but the staff was friendly enough. it is true that the place needs less grim and alot more elbow grease.

Have I ever thrown up so much?. I also went to the Skippers on 82nd by Madison High School... I had hoped since it was a "new" place the food would be good and the people nice. OMG!!! The food was awful. The chowder was runny and gross, the food had been sitting forever and was cold and the "waitstaff" informed me that they dont have a dishwasher and the ice machine is "scary" because it is "soooo dirty". I asked about the bar which is always "about to open" and guess what? I IS NEVER GOING TO OPEN! How the Health department hasn't shut this place down yet is beyond me.

If you want to go someplace and pay too much money for some gross food in a place where the owner has no experience or even a food handlers car, then go here! You will puke the next day and for a few more days after that.

Did I mention the owners girlfriend cooks food at a deep fryer while holding her INFANT BABY!!!!! No joke!

Skipper's Seafood and Chowder House. Actually, I went to the new location on NE 82nd, across from Madison High school.

Friendly wait staff.

Best coconut shrimp I've ever had.

VERY good chowder.

Best chowder anywhere. The seafood is great the chowder is the best ever the service is friendly all you can eat you cant beat that the fish taste very good the shrimp is great all in all it the best seafood place i have ever ate at.
