Sorry to bother.
Looks like I upset either a friend or family member of this establishment, or the most dedicated patron this restaurant has. If it's so great here, then why only two reviews, one which is negative? The food was so-so. The server was friendly, but I had to fight for attention with the staff, as they decided to have their own dinner during my visit! Going to another table for napkins and silverware, and waiting for the ice to melt because there's no water is not an example of good service. The usual vegi side dishes that are the hallmark of any Korean dining experience were lacking. I didn't even get the usual watermelon flavored gum that's normally offered at the end of the meal.
the hallmark of what?.
My experience with this restaurant has been wonderful. They make excellent burgogi. Great bibimbop, stews, mandu, etc. They have always been friendly and prompt with me. Maybe because I don't walk in like a know it all asserting that it's some tradition for Korean restaurants to have watermelon gum at the end of every meal. I don't know why, being Korean myself, I was never let on in this cultural tradition that the previous reviewer seems to know. Apparently whoever forgot to tell me forgot to tell the proprietors of this restaurant as well -- so sorry about the "sub par" ethnic experience. Anyway, don't hesitate to go here, it's real stuff and the people are nice. With brown vinyl seats and all it's not the most romantic or aesthetic restaurant but it's authentic and well priced.
