Brandon ROCKS! :). Every time I've gone here, it's been a pleasant experience. Brandon is the hairstylist here and he has done a great job on my and actually my entire family's hair. I also get my eyebrows waxed by him and he's absolutely awesome at that too. When I get my pedi/mani done...the lady (somehow I've always walked in and got the same one) is very nice, but she doesn't speak much english - so we don't really talk LOL but I do enjoy the peace and quiet and just relax w/o having to worry about making small talk. Give it a try, they do a great job here.
Piercing.
I've never actually ever had a problem with this place. I've gotten many many piercings from them. Never once have I had a bad experience. All the needles have been fresh from the package, latex gloves always worn, proper cleaning before and after the piercing was done. Out of the 11 or so piercings I've gotten from there, I've only had one infection. It was minor, and it was my fault for taking care of it properly.
They always tell me the correct way to clean the fresh piercings. A handy instruction sheet with highlighted information is always useful. They ask you to come in after a week for a free check-up on the piercings. I find this to be very curtious of them to do. I appreciate that they like to make sure it's going good.
Personally, I think people who reviewed above me, had bad experiences that wouldn't have happened again.
Piercings. I went to La Belle Vie for both my belly button and my nose piercing. I would say they do an alright job, It's cheap though (if your looking for that). They have alright customer service but when I was getting my piercings they didn't tell me at all step-by-step what they were doing, when a pro does it they do. It was different from when I got my cartliage.
Hair. The guy that works there that does the hair and waxing is fabulous! He takes time and care in making sure that you get what you want.
ouch! bad piercing experiences. i was seduced by the low priced piercing - $25 for a nose ring. low quality metal tarnished in less than a month, nose ring fell out constantly because it was only held in place by a slight bend, had to have it repierced at la belle vie (horrible, painful, hasty service the second and third times) and finally had it redone right elsewhere. amazingly, with the right metal and the back bent correctly, my nose has stopped trying to absorb the piercing. i could have saved time, pain and money by just paying for quality the first time.
I agree with a POOR rating. I dont think you should have your hair done by a sweat shop like that salon...great piercings, but stick to just the nails with those types of business people. What ever gets you in there...is all they are after, plus they're in a bad location, so business cant be that good.
