I've been eating at Buster's since 1987 when their only restaurant was in Gladstone. It used to be so good that a friend of mine would eat the barbecue sauce (at that time they only had one flavor) with a spoon. The baked beans were spicy and delicious, the meats tender and moist. Sadly, they seem to have lost their way. When they opened in Vancouver the food was so dried out it was often almost inedible. The beans are now bland and inconsistent, often the salad has that brown look on the lettuce from I presume sitting out too long or just no longer being fresh. In Vancouver I presume they thought they chose a bad location to account for the lack of customers, but I think it was the quality of the food. Since Vancouver closed Salem now is the destination of choice if you're looking for jerky. A few of the employees are friendly and know me by name, but many, even after seeing me year after year, look at me as if it's the first time they've seen me in their lives and don't care anyway. So, I may be done as a loyal customer. Dang it, it's nearby and efficient. You can go in for lunch, get your food, sit down, and be out in half an hour. But it's no longer worth it.

food was dry and lacked of BBQ taste.I noticed at the Bones and Brew event, that their booth was lacking customers.I should of known better then to try their chicken and ribs. The after dinner mint helped me to forget the food
Pros: quiet, service
Cons: not smokey, sauce, dry
