The Scene
During summer, families bicycle along the ranch's bike path, ride horses, play tennis and swim. During winter, cross-country skiers glide through fields and over golf courses, while downhillers and snowboarders head to the slopes of nearby Mount Bachelor and Hoodoo Mountain Resort. Black Butte has it all, from prime location to outdoor recreation.

The Details
Guests can stay in fully-equipped private homes, condos or in the main lodge. The ranch, spread out over nearly 2,000 acres, features five swimming pools, 23 tennis courts, 16 miles of bicycle paths, an equestrian center, a trout pond, playgrounds and more. The ranch is located about 29 miles from Bend, eight miles from Sisters and three to four hours from Portland.
