X'lnt work, quick service at a reasonable price.. brought the TV in, got a low quote and they repaired it within 2 hours, they even helped me get in and out of the car.. xln't Job
I have been utilizing Rex's services
ever since we moved to Vancouver. He has always given me the inside story on everything, been reasonable in his charges and perhaps most importantly, when he
fixes something, it stays fixed. He's fixed tvs, vcrs, dvd players, and he currently has my antique AM tube radio, which finally failed a few years ago.
About five years ago, I brought him my vintage Concept tuner/amplifier. I had used it since I bought it in 1978. An outstanding electronic instrument, it finally needed some major work. Rex replaced every capacitor in it with new, better than original ones. This amp is set up with my stack of rebuilt JBL Monitors and a couple ESS Satillites. It rocks and provides better than theater sound whenever we watch a film.
Over the years, I have found Rex to be personable, honest, and motivated with passion for clarity and fairness in the crazy world of consumer electronics.
If you want a down to earth, great neighborhood business like his to continue to be available to our community, take your business to Rex and his able associate, Gordon. Not only is it the right thing to do for you, it is patriotic ;-) (okay, whatever).
No kidding, you will be glad to have a guy like Rex on your side when your coping with your entertainment equipment problems and choices.…
Couldn't be happier! Ableman was recommended to us by a trusted friend. When our TV bulb burnt out and the replacement part from Sears didn't work we brought the old bulb, the new bulb, and the TV in to figure out what wasn't working. They were respectful and the service was outstanding. They took the time to check it out while we waited and showed us how to prolong the life of our TV. We actually had to convince them to accept more money than they wanted to charge us!!!…
Fantastic Repair facility!. I have a 18 month old 37 inch samsung LCD. The picture is gone, but I have sound. I looked at many similar complaints on the web and am a bit of a fix it guy. I narrowed it down to a diode on the power supply board. I called this place and they 1) confirmed there was a known issue with this diode on this board, 2) told me the had the diode in stock, 3) installed the diode for me, and 4) charged me a very reasonable price! The person (assistant) I first spoke with is Gordon. The owner, and the person who did the fix (on the spot) is Rex. These guys totally know their stuff and are awesome. If there is something I can't fix, or need quality used equipment, I will definately go back!…
Excellent TV Repair and Customer Service. Our 2 1/2 year old LG 42" TV was fine when turned off then was dead when we tried to turn it back on a few hours later--it had sound but no picture. My daughter in-law called all over to try to get some idea of what the problem could be along with information on approximate repair costs (a $ range) and turn around time. Tom at Ableman TV was the only person that would give her his time to explain what he thought it might be and an approximate cost and turn around time. So we took our TV to them (we live in Portland) and within three days we had it back in working order for $165. We are happy campers and would recommend this shop to anyone needing TV repair. They also have a supply of refurbished TVs that are very reasonable. Read the other reviews--they reflect our great experience. I agree, these guys ROCK!…
Very Responsive and Helpful.
Our five year old SONY TV decided to quit on us one evening and I assumed it would require a repair tech to fix it. Looking at ratings and feedback, I first went to another shop, but after almost 24
hours with no response, decided to try Ableman. My call was picked up by a technician who after listening, suggested it sounded like a lamp issue and advised me that is typically something an owner can replace. He patiently provided detailed guidance as to how to remove the assembly, which I did and brought into the shop. The owner (I think) was at the desk and between answering several calls, was able to find a replacement lamp and installed it for me. He also gave me tips on how to avoid problems when re-installing the assembly into the TV.
While there, I observed he was professional and ethical, in one case advising a potential client the problem he had was not worth repairing due to the age of the TV and the expense to repair it. I'm pretty confident I found a good shop to which I will refer others.…
Honest, Go Out of Their Way Service. Our Samsung TV lamp died on a Sunday. Why did it have to be on a Sunday? We found Ableman TV & Electronics Service on Bing. The website listed the hours of operation Monday through Saturday. Next to Sunday, it read "Call for Service." My husband was skeptical; a burnt out bulb could hardly be considered an emergency - except when you have a three year old and a four year old - then it IS an emergency. When we called, Rex offered to go to the store, make sure he had the right bulb in stock and call us back. An hour later, I'm driving back to Newberg, Oregon with my new bulb. He also gave me some great tips and advice. What a nice man! I will gladly return to Ableman for my next TV purchase or bulb emergency - despite the 49 minute drive. Amazing service...who does that these days? WOW!…
Great local business.
I found them on google, called. They said to come in. I went in with my Samsug sound bar, which had stopped working a year ago. Two men helped me, both friendly. One contacted Samsung on the
internet. The other hooked up the sound bar. and found that the optical cable connectig it to the TV was broken. He replaced it with one that worked. The sound bar worked just fine.
They did not charge for service. They sold me a new optical cable for $10. I was on my way after just a few minutes. Excellent!…
These Guys ROCK !!!. I had such an awesome experience while looking for someone reliable and honest I found them not only did they fix my tv for a fair price after getting it home i could not get the sound to work by then it was 6 the time they closed i called and they kept the store open until 730 and fixed my tv. these guys ROCK!!!…
Absolutely Recommended.
We had an unusual Samsung flat screen tube TV that just quit working. It was only a few years old so we hated to toss it. Ableman's evaluated it (for a great price) and gave us the estimate which
they stuck to.
We were very impressed with their honesty, courtesy and price. Our TV works great now.…
