My old lady and I decided to go on a lark Friday evening. Arrived at 9:30. Told we couldn't bowl becuase they need to "get ready" for cosmic bowling. Suggested we put our stuff "in line" so we could pay at 10:00. At 10:00 we paid. Told we couldn't bowl until 10:30 because they "start the lanes" all at once. Didn't get to bowl until 10:30. In the meantime no "set up" was required. All they did was turn off the lights. THEN no waiteress service to lanes AND you had to keep drinks about 30 feet from the lane/tables. Somehow this is to discourage underage drinking. Staff was also rude when explaining these absurd rules. Screw this place if you are a grown up and just want to roll on a friday night and have a few beers.

Allen's Crosley Lanes located in Vancouver is a great place to take the family, meet new people and basically just have a good time. Food and drinks are quality (great burgers) and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and efficient and the lanes are relatively new. It's a good idea just to go there and check out the murals on the wall on each side of the lanes- it's art!
Pros: cool lights and music, plenty of parking, drinks are cheap
