Not One Good Samaritan

My friend and I went to this parlor tonight. We locked our keys in our car when we got there for the last session. We didn't realize it until we went to leave. I called the locksmith and was told it would be 40 minutes until they could be there to unlock the car. An employee from the parlor told us that they lock the gate to the parkinglot in 15 minutes. So we told them inside, where everyone was standing waiting to leave, that we wouldn't receive help for 40 minutes. Everyone seemed really irritated and one employee even commented, "Hell no! I'm not waiting. I've been here since 9." We looked around for someone with a kind heart to speak up and say that they wouldn't mind waiting with us before locking their gate, and no one would said a word. They then told us that we would have to leave our car in the parkinglot and return the next day to get a locksmith. Irritated, we started our walk on the main road, 78th St in the freezing cold. We were dissapointed at the fact that there's no one with a heart there to help another in a little favor, as we would have done for anyone ourselves.
