Great atmosphere and service, but bad food.

I can't understand all the good ratings. I was really hoping to get some great pad Thai here, but NEVER again.

I think they forgot to add the peanut sauce and used stale oyster sauce instead?? Even my hubby was surprised how awful it tasted. They were kind enough not to charge us for the meal I ordered.

• Pros: Great atmosphere
• Cons: Pad Thai tastes like wet dog.

Decent food, watch for spice

I did not realize this restaurant was under new management, but that would explain how my Pra Ram arrived when I ordered it "as hot as you can get it". I have eaten here MANY MANY times when it was Thai Orchid and recently went back with a friend. While her food was excellent and mine COULD have been very good, I could barely eat mine. I asked for it as hot as possible as I love spicy food. In order to achieve this, they simply piled on (literally, it was not even mixed in with the food) about a containerful of red pepper flakes. Aside from that, there was no spice and I could not eat my meal as every other bite had about 50 hard little dried pepper flake seeds in it. Had I not ordered it this way, the food would have been as great as always. However, I will NEVER order the food even the least bit spicy again as I am worried what I will end up with!

• Cons: "Hot" was just a canful of chili flakes

Best Thai food in Gresham

My wife and I have only been to Asian Thai Bistro once on Friday night and was, at first, overwhelmed by the HUGE menu... many dishes to choose from. LET ME TELL YA, I had one of the best Thai dishes EVER at Asian Thai Bistro. It was on their 'Specials' menu: "Spicy seafood Chow Mien"( I think that what they call) The food is come out realy fast and the service is excellent.I will be returning to Asian Thai Bistro as often as possible.

Asian Thai Bistro

The Thai Orchid is now the Asian Thai Bistro. I had lunch there today. It was wonderful. For $6.50 ! This included a cup of soup with the entree. I had the green curry with steamed rice. It was soooo tasty, not too hot and not too mild. Wonderful service. I can't wait to go back.

Best Thai food in Gresham has been under new management.

This restaurant was once a Thai Orchid. I just found out last time that it has been changed to another Thai Restaurant named" Asian Thai Bistro" . The menu looks almost like the same old one I have in hand and the food tastes as good as it always is. The atmosphere seems as if it remains under the same management but I personally think that the service crews and the food are better. Don't forget to try the pineapple fried-rice from the special items. Evil Jungle Noodles is a mouth-watering specialty with yummy peanut sauce I would highly recommend. I always love " Spicy Chicken Cashews" !

• Cons: Needs more advertising in the area.

Good food, nice decor, good service

We love Thai Orchid in West Linn. We try Thai Orchid in Gresham. The food is really good; consistently the same as the one in West Linn. The decor is quite beautiful w/big orchid flower painted onto one wall. The staff is quite friendly and service is good.

beautiful inside with a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. exquisite food -- perfect textures and exciting spices (without being overdone).

I really like this place. The food is very good with nice size portions. Very comfortable atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. I've never been dissappointed.

Check The Ingredients

I have several fine meals here but they seem to take liberty with their preparation of entrees. On one visit they substituted spinach for basel and when asked about it they said they were out of basel. The last time I was there they filled an order with broccoli instead of cabbage. When asked they replaced my dinner correctly.
