Love it!

The waterfront is soo pretty. It's a great place to walk and enjoy the scenery. I especially loved the waterfront during the Jazz festival...it's so much fun. Good music, good food, and a lot of fun activities for kids and adults. It's a great part of the city.

In 1968, then-Governor Tom McCall proposed creating a public space along the Willamette's west bank. At the time, Harbor Drive cut residents off from the area. The drive was eventually torn up, and a 22-block green space was constructed in 1974. The 29-acre park extends the length of downtown, along the Willamette. It features a boat deck, biking trails and The Battleship Oregon Memorial. On sunny days, it swarms with walkers, joggers and rollerbladers.

GREAT PLACE TO GO!

The Waterfront is a nice place to relax and pass the time. The water fountain is a huge attraction for kids and anyone else who wants to cool off on a hot summer day. It is fun to watch the interesting people on the Front and take in the view of the river.
