Not worth it!!!

If you want Chinese food don't bother paying their prices, go somewhere else. The food was not that good for the price or service. The building is very nice, and reminded me of Bobby Flays restaurant in Vegas.
- Pros: Nice place, good lighting, layed out nicely.
- Cons: Bad service, food not worth price
Chinese Mall food meet your match

Panda Express with an attitude and high price tag. This is the echelon of Portland Chinese food? I love the review about the "sample guy." The food is not terrible, just waaaayyyyy overpriced and un-original. Yes, save your money.
- Pros: price, vanilla food
Food no where near authentic
by mjlin at Citysearch
Sure, the decor is more on the upscale side than most Chinese restaurants. However, the dishes I had (Ta Ta Noodle, Ma Po Tofu) by no means looked/tasted like what I had in Taiwan, despite having the same names.
Regardless of authenticity, the food was not inspiring at all. The service was lacking, too. I'm totally surprised that it got voted the best Chinese restaurant in Portland.
For better food and value, I recommend "Mandarin Cove".
Average/ Ordinary

Americanized Chinese food. Waiter talked us out of ordering what we wanted, and what we got was nothing special. In fact, one dish what waiter raved about that we did order, came out w/ totally different ingredients than we were told. I grew up on San Franciscan Chinese food and can't seem to find anything quite as tasty. Won't be back here.
Good PDX Chinese

It's all relative: for Portland, this is above average Chinese. On its own merit, it overpriced average fare. They can't pull off the high priced authentic mix. Go to one of those Chinese fast food outlets in your neighborhood grocery store and save some serious bucks. Great decor though, and the hostess was very friendly.
- Pros: hostess
- Cons: price, server
