I always love to stop at Pizzicato - good pizza - you can get the classic varieties plus others that you will not find everywhere also. Also a good selection of salads.

I always enjoy a good slice of pizza from Pizzicato! Their salads are good, too, and you can get a huge cup of wine for a very reasonable price with your meal. Each location is comfortable and the pizza is always good. I have a friend who used to work at a Pizzicato, and I always looked forward to her bringing leftovers to my apartment!

These guys have the best pizza you can find in this town. You can order by the slice or get a whole pie. The crust is delicious and thin and the toppings are always wonderful.
Horrid service!

Five of us went to Pizzicato on NW 23rd about a week ago. We had the worst service I've ever experienced anywhere! It was so bad that I ended up leaving $0 (zero) tip, and I've never ever done that before... I'm usually a 20% tipper.
Several other groups came, ate and left, before we even got our food. All we ordered were some salads, panninis and slices of pizza (already made and sitting there). We were there almost an hour, the first 35 or 40 minutes of which we were just WAITING. It was excruciating!
We won't be back.
This Portland-based mini-chain serves up sophisticated slices.

In Short
Behind the street-side picture windows, the sleek decor of modern furniture and highly polished floors feels nothing like a typical pizza joint. In keeping with the visuals, the pies are upscale versions of their traditional cousins. Gourmet toppings like spicy shrimp and barbecued chicken are layered atop thin crusts brushed with olive oil and garlic. Rounding out the menu are fresh salads and paninis, complemented by local wines and microbrews.
Great salads. Not enough seating. Inattentive staff.

Pizzacato was my place of choice on NW 23rd. Excellent salads, attentive staff. The service was pretty good and the people friendly. Ever since the remodel though, the place is somehow different. The staff always seem to be in such a hurry and personalized service is a thing of the past. Along with the remodel, they've had a personnel change and the "energy" is very different. I think I need to give it a rest for awhile and see if the place is allowed to move into it's newness before I return.
- Pros: Great salads
- Cons: Inattentive staff
great taste

I don't eat meat and there is always a veriety of choices. The food tastes great. They also have a stamp card to get free slices or pizzas. You can also get a cold beer or glass of wine if you'd like.
- Pros: by the slice
- Cons: none

coming from the east coast, I guess I'm just partial to new york style pizza. Don't get me wrong- I like a lot of different types of unique toppings...but this sauce was very sweet tasting and not what pizza sacue should taste like to me..... if you like your sacue especially sweet, this may be the place for you!

I love the pizza, but the main reason I go is for the arugala/pear salad. I eat one there and take one for later. Asking for the dressing on the side.
