Amazing dinner without the price or the "Pearl Attitude"
5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

I've been to the Daily Cafe twice for dinner and I've been blown away by the food and the surprising combinations of the food. The last time a friend and I went on a Friday night and were puzzled as to why more people weren't dining there. For appetizers we had the tempura prawns which were done to perfection. It was served with an asian pear and cilantro salad which was quite tasty with the homemade mustard. We also had the beet and arugala with herbed ricotta. Yummy! For the main dish we ordered the linguini with clams. OMG!!! Seriously, it was definitely in the top five pasta dishes I've ever had in my life. The noodles were perfect and the pork, garlic, chili flakes, and butter made the best sauce. Ask for more bread--you'll need it. We also ordered the pork tenderloin. It had a nice flavor and wasn't chewy at all. For dessert we had the chocolate dessert which kind of tasted like a p o t de creme in a small tart. It was very cocoa-y without being too sweet. We also shared the pear tartlet with maple ice cream. Mmmm... The ice cream had a caramel quality. The wait staff was knowledgeable and very inviting and didn't rush us at all. The wine choice our server helped us with was spot on. I've also had breakfast at the Daily Cafe and it was equally delicious. Again, I'm not sure why dinner isn't more popular since it's really outstanding.

Pros: Price. Ingredient pairings. Inviting staff
