MacForce is still #1

For the past several years now, MacForce has taken care of me, my family and my business. Most honest folks I've ever dealt with in a retail/service environment. I have had numerous computers repaired and tuned up over the years here and have never been disappointed. I was really impressed by a recent visit, so I felt I should let people know just how good they are. If you are frustrated with not knowing how to do things with your computer, try getting some training here. It changed the way I use my computer! I will never shop anywhere else for my tech needs.

Worst customer service ever!!!

This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I took my computer in for a simple fix and a couple questions and the guy was treating me like a two year old, snarking at any question I asked and acting to cool to give a straight answer. I had them do the minimal fix to secure my data and they ended up charging me twice, and then when I called about the double charge they acted like it never happened and said the transaction didn't exist in their system. The manager was as rude and difficult as the clerk to deal with. I went to the mac store and got what I needed fixed for 38 dollars instead of the 130$ they had quoted me. I suggest unless you want to be disrespected and overcharged to never go to here. I will never go back. I would give a -1 on the star rating if it let me.

horrible service

Mac force wow, we are a mac 2 member and always go to mac force first because its close, about six months ago we sent out laptop in to get it fixed. After waiting over a week for it to be fixed they told us there was nothing they could do, and we were charged $90! for nothing. Now two weeks ago we brought in the same laptop in, for a different reason because we couldnt download anything, and well we got it back today after being told it would be about $500 to fix it, and the same problem exists due to the fact we told them no. But now you cant even turn on the computer and there is no wifi. Horrible! we sugest not going there find someone who knows what they are doing this is the second time our computer has come back with something else wrong with it!

Great service

I have never left a review before, I just have to say this place is great. Last week my computer stopped working so I brought it to MacForce. They said they were currently busy and I would be with out my computer for 5-7 business days, i kind of panicked but decided to go along with it and get my computer fixed. Within 1 day they called me to tell me the diagnoses, and 2 days later they called me to say it was done.

MacForce is great and it comes highly recommended from this local Mac nerd.

Good experiences here

I found MacForce after a couple bad experiences at MacPac and the Mac Store. I prefer to spend my money locally rather than online or at an Apple retail store. I was about to give up on this when I randomly noticed MacForce while waiting for a train in the SE industrial area. I looked over and saw the big white Apple. Looking a little closer I saw that it was a really groovy looking place. So, I pulled over and went in. I sat in on a seminar, which was great. Then had a wonderful conversation about the new Logic Studio with one of the employees. He said he had just started a new musicians group. Man these guys are hip to what it's all about. This guy blew my mind with everything Logic can do now, so I signed up.

Well, I'm sold. I am now a MacForce customer and I feel like I should let everyone know about them. I'm feeling pretty good about spending my money there and sending my friends there too. Did I mention they project movies on to the walls, and that they have an Apple museum? Cool place, 'nuff said.

What a great place

I just discovered MacForce. They talked me out of spending too much money on stuff I didn't really need. I am not the most technologically savvy person. So, this was very refreshing. The educated me quickly on everything I asked about, and never once did I feel dumb or like I was wasting anyone's time. Some of the most honest and genuine people I have done business with in a long time. Again, what a refreshing experience. Keep up the great work MacForce.

What a Fabulous Place!

I recently found MacForce. What a nice little Portland gem!! Unique, clean, fun, knowledgeable, family friendly and affordable. I had a horrible experience with a PC being overrun with viruses that spawned from emails from a local computer store that was supposed to be helping me. Anyway, the people at MacForce put my mind at ease, explained why I didn't need to stress about viruses on a Mac, recovered all my files and put them on my Mac and even signed me up for some training so I wouldn't be confused by my transition from PC to Mac. I usually feel dumb about computer stuff. Not at MacForce. These guys are different. Be sure to check them out and support another great local Portland business. Oh, and now I understand all those Mac commercials too! Thank you MacForce.

• Pros: They have parking!! Really nice staff. Beautifully designed store. A cool museum.
• Cons: Can't think of anything they are missing.

The place to go for your Mac needs!

Great experiences here. The staff is friendly and professional. They understand my needs and never ever make me feel dumb. They offer a wide selection of free and paid training that has really helped me quite a bit. Much better than the visits to other computer stores. I will definitely support these guys in the future. Oh, and they are quite a bit cheaper than the Apple store by Lloyd center. I learned that the hard way.

Best Mac Guys in Town

I love these guys and supporting a local small business. My experience with the mall stores is that there are a lot of people and very little attention. Your also have part-time student workers who don't know their stuff. When I bought my iMac at MacForce they spent over 30 minutes with me helping make decisions and showing off some cool applications. I didn't feel rushed or pressured. They don't work on commission. You can tell they love what they do. They have a beautiful store and a huge theatre with free seminars. I also signed up for their training class. Awesome!! oops, I almost forgot the amazing Apple museum. It's definitely worth the effort to go to MacForce instead of the mall.
