Good food - lunchtime
by jus88 at Citysearch
I came here a # of times. Always has good food. Worries me now though as their young cook (was 20something - white guy with a goatee) has left. Should have kept him, never had uncooked chicken, you know. Mgr gone too I think. Always sat at the bar. You know man - just hire good guys, keep good guys - lose the rest. Your busser's need to work on their skills. I heard cook went to Reedville Cafe from a coworker just now. Maybe will check it out. Never been there. If it has a bar then I am good to go!! :-)
I will still eat lunch here sometimes.
Good first experience!

We bought a house in Orenco Gardens late last November. Two of our reasons for buying here were the proximity to the Max line and the stores and restaurants within walking distance. I've been dismayed to read some of the very negative remarks about this place because it's located so close to us.
Just last week we had our first opportunity to visit the Orenco Station Grill. We sat outside on the patio rather than on the street side that also has table and chairs on the sidewalk because it was quieter. The weather was beautiful and it was very pleasant.
This first visit was fine. We were out shopping, so we only had items off of the bar and happy hour menu. These were priced very reasonably similar to what Stanfords charges for their happy hour items, although the selection is more limited at Orenco. Happy hour drink prices were low, also, and the glass of wine we had was definately not a "short pour".
I'd say the only negative was that the bartender was also the waiter and he was very busy. However, he was a very nice guy from New Orleans and we enjoyed talking with him.
My son and daughter in law are going to meet over there in an hour or so from now, so this will be experience #2 for me. We'll see how it goes this time. Maybe not tonight, but sometime soon I plan to talk with someone at the restaurant about some of the negative feedback that's on this site (especially the alleged lack of cleanliness and uncooked food) to see how they respond. I'll include that in my next message.
Until next time....

We stopped in for an early dnner and had a wonderful time. I don't know why some people write nasty things, perhaps they are just nasty people?
Our food was great the service was good even though we had a new server, she did a very thorough job.
I eat out a lot and this restaurant will certainly have me back. I will reccommend it to my friends.
Don't be misled by a few angry people, I am sure you will enjoy the food and drinks.
- Pros: Very comfortable and good
- Cons: A bit of a drive to get there (but worth the trip)
A Pleasant Surprise...things have improved!

We recently moved to the Orence Area and tried the OSG for lunch. It was good but not one we felt we would return to with so many other options in the neighborhood. A month or so later I stopped in with a friend for a glass of wine at the bar. Teh wine by the glass list was pretty pricey and the wine glasses were like tea cups...............adding insult to injury.
Well, Friday night my husband and I decided to give it a try as we heard some changes in staff etc. had been made. Dinner was delightful, our waiter was knowledgable and enjoyable, and the fare was tasty and well presented. Well, the clam appetizer left a bit to be desired. Dress it up in a nicer bowl and it would help. My husbands steak looked good and he said it was tender and flavorful. The fries were very good and the house salad that came with the dinner was nice. Ah, and the wine glasses. MUCH improved. We will go back once a month if this keeps up.
- Pros: Close to our home and the light rail, good food in lively setting
- Cons: None really for the $$.
Daytime review
by Pebbles1 at Citysearch
Came here again around 12:30 on a Friday in June. Could see 2 cooks (1 older & 1 young) from where I was sitting. Had to wait a little to get order put in but not bad. Very busy - lunch rush. Young guy(chef) made my meal before so I asked waitress if he was making sandwichs today. She said yes - older guy salads etc...
So I changed to the chicken sandwich I had before. Again I am VERY grossed out by pink meat - BUT again was made perfect - Not tough or dry & NO PINK! Yeah!! The older chef seemed too slow to me, esp. since it was rush time. The busperson I noticed took too long a time to get around to a dirty table near me. Otherwise good experience again.
I try to write good BUT honest reviews on all sites. Not enough GOOD things said in the world. Reading other reviews here makes me wonder why complaints are not taken to the manager or owner?? I would have gotten the "drunk lady" situation cleared up there right away NOT just complained here. Won't do you any good here other than to vent. OR get back at the company as you are an old employee or something??? Try lunch time - Dinner I think can be trickier - I haven't eaten here at night in a long time so can't review that at all.

If you're looking for a fun bar just to hang at, this is a good place. Locals, good bartender, decent food to snack on.
Good People Good Food

Been staying in Hillsboro for 6 weeks. Eaten at the Grill almost everyday. The Chef - Warren has gone out of his way to create new dishes. Did Warren have to do this? -no. He did it because he enjoys his work.
My favorite meal is the ny strip. No masking sauce just butter and salt/pepper.
My favorite dessert is the crème brulee. They fire up the propane torch and give their custard a classic crust.
My favorite bar drink - The Mojito. Walk over to the New Season's Market and obtain some fresh mint. Provide same to Sarah at bar. The bar menu stands out. The bar burger, onion rings,fish/chips and the chicken fried steak are good. What sticks with me are the people. Decent folk who will go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Steve - the manager/owner is a Class Act!
- Pros: Good People, Good Food, Great Bar
- Cons: Limited Kitchen Size, Somewhat Pricey, Bar gets crowded
Convenient Location

My sister lives in Tanasbourne and we had lunch here a few days a go. I had a 2 for 1 coupon and enjoyed my burger. It had a nice ambiance and a cool looking bar. If you are in the area it is worth the stop.
- Pros: Ambiance, Location
