I am always on the hunt for unique items. Bought a great Jack Spade bag here. Love the fact it's in an old loft building with other great shops and business. My friend recommended this store to me, along with a few others. Love hanging out in the Pearl, with all of the new unique shops.

Pros: LOCATION / ATMOSPHERE / JACK SPADE!

Cons: it's not in Seattle

It is rather hard for me to fathom that people see this establishment as a unique trendy cutting edge men's clothing emporium. When are Portlanders going to "catch up" to the new Portland and drop the flannel shirts??

Cons: boring clothes, unfriendly rude service

I come to the Pearl often and shop for my Husband and myself. This shop was recommended to me, and it is a great find. The selection is cutting edge, and the help was great. When they did not have the right size, they brought it in from New York. WOW, that was a treat. This boutique, and other destination shops are making this area of town wonderful

Pros: GREAT CLOTHES

GIVE ME A BREAK!!! TO THE REVIEWER BEFORE ME. OBVIOUSLY YOU'VE NEVER BEEN THERE TO MAKE SUCH A GRANDIOSE COMMENT! YOU DIDN'T EVEN SPELL IT CORRECTLY. DRESS CODE IS NOTHING MORE THAN THEN A SHOP WITH OLD & WAY OVER PRICED CLOTHING THAT IS HUNG IN A DRAP OUT DATED DECOR. I BELIEVE WHEN OTHERS REFERRED TO DRESS CODE BEING OVER PRICED THEY MEANT YOU CAN FIND THE SAME BORING THINGS YOU WOULD FIND THERE AT SAKS FOR A WHOLE LOT LESS. I TRULY WISH THIS PLACE WAS A JEFFREY OR A FRED SEGAL THEN WE COULD REALLY BRAG ABOUT THE PEARL!

Pros: LOCATION

LOVE this cute store! Stores like this make the Pearl the great destination spot it has become. I was treated and pampered when i stopped in. If you want great stuff, stop in. And the reviewers that think it's to much money...DUH! Check out Jeffries are any other high end store (as you claim you do) Thanks for investing in Portland, my b.f. and I love your STORE

Pros: the area

HAVE TRIED TO GET THIS PLACE FOR THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS. HAVE ATTEMPTED TO GET PAST THE RUDE SERVICE FROM THE SALES CLERK BUT TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY THE PRICES ARE SO OUT OF LINE WITH REALITY. LET'S GET A GRIP! HAVE TO SAY I'LL CONTINUE TO PASS ON THIS PLACE.

I stumbled into Dress Code after it was recommended by a few of my friends to find a good selection of clothes that would be appropriate for me to wear to a graduation ceremony. I am not a "fashion plate" by any means. I am most comfortable in jeans and my favorite old T shirt. Which is what I was wearing when I went shopping the other day. The service or should I say lack of service was unbelievable. The clerk was to busy on the phone to greet me never mind help me. I was there for nearly a half an hour or so and there was no interaction from him. I suppose I was not dressed to his liking! Normally I am not very big on speaking negatively about someone or some place since I am a health care professional and like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but after reading some of the reviews of this shop here on Citysearch when I got home, I felt it only right for me to add my experiences. Hopefully the owner(s) of Dress Code will be reading these reviews from time to time and clearly see that they need to address the people they employ. otherwise I don't see this establishment lasting very long.

How does this place stay in business????? I walk on the dock daily and even try to say hello to the guy who works there that is always on the computer or the phone. Sometimes I get a hello back other times who knows. There is never any one shopping in there. I never see people around the area with "DRESS CODE" shopping bags. What's the deal? Does anyone have a clue? The clothes are not my style they seem to be geared for the tourists I suppose. I just hope the space doesn't turn into another arts and craft gallery. We already have way too many of those.
