One of a kind! Special treat!
by Trillium at Citysearch
We have had a great experience with PIX. Everything is awesome! We did have one bad experience at xmas we ordered the coffee log cake. It was not their usual quality and the flavor was off. This was not typical.. so we called. The immediately gave us a gift card and invited us back! We have yet to use that but are anxious to get back in there... You really can't go wrong with any dessert from this place. The homemade ice cream is also fantastic!
- Pros: delicious, friendly staff, unique desserts
- Cons: busy, loud, not very many seats
Macaroons that are worth the attitude behind the counter
by malakian at Citysearch
I came to pix several times and sampled various concoctions before discovering their heavenly macaroons which seem to come in rotating flavors, all of them equally delicious. Unfortunately I have to echo some of the sentiments here that other desserts do not live up to their price tag, however the macaroons sure do. Make sure you get them to go though because this place seems to be run by indifferent hipsters who scoff and get upset when you interrupt their novel reading by coming into the store.
- Pros: macaroons
- Cons: price, counter help
Great little coffee/dessert Place
by atsugari at Citysearch
I've came back and tried almost all the dessert at this place since it's down the block from my house. My favorite is still the royale with cheese, everything else was too sweet for me(instant cavity). Their truffles are good they are made the traditional french way, their mango friut pate is refreshing when they have it in season. Otherwise a chill place to stop by and have a cup of coffee. I've still yet to try their Carmen Miranda, they always run out then I go there.
- Pros: The Royale with Cheese
- Cons: Parking, finding a seat
Sad, maybe they do need better service
by Sirisak at Citysearch
I've never had anything here but their chocolates and to be honest - the waiter could have been on fire and i'd have not noticed as i was with friends and we were making our own fun. The chocolates were wonderful and unusual. I cannot remember what my friends tried, but they loved everything and i think one of them did in fact have the hot chocolate someone else besmerges on this site.
I've only been to the hawthorne locale and i've found it a fun little corner for a quick sweet treat, but maybe my expectations were not too high
I'm not sure...

My sister told me about this place called Pix, she said they surved their deserts with shreds of gold on it. I'm not sure if i believe her, so i guess i need to go check it out for myself and fined out....
Can't beat the selection

I stopped bye with a friend after dinner. It was great to find such a cool place open. I have the Royale - they were out of cheese- and a latte. It was very good. If I lived in the neighborhood I would go often and I plan to stop bye when I near. However, I would not drive in from Vancouver just to visit Pix. The selction was great and the atmosphere was the best! I would love to hang out here if I were closer.
- Pros: Selection, Quality, Late Night Hours
- Cons: Limited Coffee Bar
New location on Hawthorne
by doctor_stu at Citysearch
This is my second review of Pix. We have now been to the Divison store and the new store on Hawthorne (next door to Pastaworks) at least 10 times. It seems that they do more business at the Divison store, as the pasteries at the Hawthorne store sometimes seem a bit stale. Both my wife and I both still love the place, but the fact that Petite Provence on Division has excellent pasteries (and the best almond croissants in the city) at half the price makes that a place we visit far more frequently.
- Cons: Division location better than new location on Hawthorne
Not so Friendly
by banannah at Citysearch
I experienced a similar problem with being asked to leave at 10:00, being under 21. The gentleman working at the counter was delightful but the woman (perhaps she is the owner) was very rude. Ordinarily I wouldn't say anything, but it was the second time she had been absolutely impolite and tactless. Other employees not included! On a positive note, the desserts are fantastic, decadent and pure art.
- Pros: Food, Atmosphere
Typical Spot That Makes Portland Great
by MauiGirl25 at Citysearch
After dinner and drinks a date and I stopped here for dessert. I loved the casual cafe style atmosphere and the desserts were great! It was busy without being crowded which was great, and it was a great end to an evening. I'd definitely recommend taking someone here late at night for great desserts and coffee, even though the later it is the fewer desserts are offered far as I could tell.
- Pros: Wonderful Dessert, Open Late, Atmosphere
