no more - im finally giving up
by burritolover
had some good times there... but just too many exceptions. owner is not a nice guy (customer saturation?) once or twice he has been sorta pleasant but too many rude 'gimme yer money' moments combined with very inconsistent food have finally sent me away for good. prices were always appealing but i guess you get what you pay for. ive never personally gotten sick here but one friend has, (at my invitation) i still went back anyway. im a slow learner.
- Pros: low price - sometimes good food
- Cons: terrible service - food very inconsistent
I got sick
by imagem
I went there today and got 4 chicken tacos, within 25 minutes of eating them i was vommiting and sooo sick at work that I had to go home and I am now im in the bed. I called them to let them know and instead of a simple sorry, thats all I wanted, they said: "Now what do u want??" Bad bad bad business. Its a shame too, times are tough now and they should value their customers more especially if they are serving people bad quality meats and ingredients. Will never give them a chance again and I might of if they apologized. I will make sure to let everyone I know about this and their poor attitude.
- Pros: tastes good but
- Cons: unclean, made me sick
Yummy Mexican!

Really great fresh food. The el pastor pork is really flavorful. Quick and cheap, this is a great place to grab food.
- Pros: Great options for fillings.
- Cons: Small dining room
extra protein at cha cha cha
by citytrees7
I would have to say that cha cha cha had one of the best chimichangas I have ever had. Although,a few months back I ordered a chicken chimi to-go to get my then weekly fix, after inhaling about half of it I saw a fly inside. I all of a sudden I kinda lost my appetite and have not been back to enjoy since. If you like extra protein by all means go.
Rock found in burrito - aparrently it's a known and re-accuring problem this past week
by NorthWester994
I've been to Cha Cha Cha in the Pearl a few times these past few months - the food is fresh, delicious, and spicy. I thoroughly enjoy going there for some great food which is quite easy on the wallet.
The last time was the first week in February when I ordered their Cha burrito, a delicious beef concoction. Unfortunately it contained a rock, not a pebble, but one the size of a small molar tooth. Showing the rock to the guy behind the counter taking orders, he said he has known of the problem this past week and the batch of beans they received recently contains rocks. There was no "sorry", no comped meal, just a fact of life that their beans contain rocks.
I hope this rock fiasco doesn't last long. Why don't they comb through the dried beans and pull out the rocks before cooking them?!?!? What else gets into the food that they don't bother removing?
- Pros: Fresh ingredients, great salsa, spicy food.
- Cons: Rocks in the burritos
Really good, and really cheap. It doesn't get much better.

My sister took my family here while we were visiting her in Portland. We just wanted something quick and inexpensive. We were all set to go looking for a McDonald's when she recommended Cha Cha Cha. We were all glad that she did. It was fast, and inexpensive but unlike McDonald's it was also delicious.
- Pros: fast, inexpensive, yummy
- Cons: The dining room is a little crowded
Best Taqueria in Portland!!!
by PacificNorthWest
Excellent food, fast service, great price. The best mex without the tex.
We came upon this restaurant just while walking in the pearl district. The best mexican taqueria food I've ever tasted. We are so glad we tried it. You should definetely try it!
- Pros: Service, Food, Price
- Cons: Seating... it's a small place and it's busy... so you are lucky to get a table
Cha Cha Cha...highly recommended

My boyfriend and I love this place, its a block away and a weekly favorite. Always packed, the service is prompt and very friendly. When the owner is working he offers to bring us our drinks, silverware and anything else we may need to the table. Silverware is neatly rolled into napkins and sits by the counter if are anxious to get your own, along with ice water and cups if you choose not to order a drink. This is not the type of restaurant that provides table service. The limited staff are busy preparing food and taking orders so that your wait is short. They do not have time to go around to tables getting 2nd drink orders, however if you need a 2nd they can accommodate you at the counter. Last night the line was out the door and every table was taken, my wait was not more than a couple of minutes and my to go order was ready within seconds. The prices are unbelievably cheap and the food is outstanding. I love the big burritos and my boyfriend likes the tamales and tongue tacos....we also love the green and red salsas, the fresh chips and pico de gallo. Try it...you won't be disappointed!!
- Pros: Excellent food and service
- Cons: not being able to get a table
go to byways nextdoor instead!
by jordeebee
The food here is mediocre, and well priced, but the service is poor
It's unclear how to get silverwear, the owner would not look at customers, talk to them,
and kept dissapearing while a line went out the door. He also looks a little like james gandolfini.
Byways nextdoor has the best service ive had in portland, by far, better food and better atmosphere too
- Pros: cheap, basic, plain, greasy
- Cons: loud, bad service, messy
que delicioso
by pdxfoodie1
Huge tasty burritos with quality ingredients for the price of Taco Bell. If you are feeling like a glutton go for the chimichanga which is the size of my head, fried and topped with fresh ingredients. If you are feeling healthy go for the taco salad with salmon and black beans. They have some special marinade for the salmon that makes it out of this world! If you are on a budget the chili relleno burrito is like $4 and will stuff a normal person. Very clean and nice atmosphere compared to most other good taquerias.
- Pros: Good quality tasty cheap burritos
- Cons: not alot of seating in the pearl annex
