i have been going to dr. johns for awhile and tonight my friend lost his cell phone so he asked the dj nicely if he had it and the dj said no and held up a phone exactly like his and said has anyone seen a phone like this which later we found it that that exact phone was my friends. so my friend went up to the bar and asked this fat girl bartender if she had seen a phone and she said no and got mad cause he didnt leave a tip cause he knew by that time the dj had it and the girl bartender knew it was his. so we walked out and a minute later the bartender walked out and threw his cell phone directly at his head and walked away. this really made me mad how could a bar do that to someone its just a phone and my friend just asked where it was and they treated us like dirt cause she didnt get a tip. his bar tab was 200$ thats a profit right there and he knew that that bar knew who took his cell. it just makes me mad that people and establishments have to act that way to customers and i will never be going back there and i urge you not to go there either if those people are that shady. it just makes me sick that a bar would act that way. so please be careful please i beg you not to go there.

Pros: none

Cons: the dj steals your things so watch out

We went here for the first time last night. Very open, airy space, which probably helps keep the smoke from being too bothersome, although we would prefer a non-smoking place. Two pool tables in an upstairs loft, and a nice-sized dance floor in front of the band. Good, strong drinks, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Food-wise its fairly typical pub grub--hamburgers, sandwiches (Ruebens!) chicken strips, fish n chips, and snacks, although they do have quite a variety. We only tried the fries, which were good. Heard a great band last night--Much More Country--with a very reasonable cover ($2). Might want to spend a few bucks to replace the broken bathroom door lock. Downgraded only for the smoke, though.

Pros: Ambience, light & airy feel, great band, great service, strong drinks

Cons: Smoke (but not bad)
