These types of reviews have never been my thing. But when I received the service I did at CH, I feel compelled to let everyone know that this is BY FAR the BEST place for PT anywhere. The physical therapists are caring, compassionate, and really know their stuff and the office staff is great too. I've never felt this great!

Pros: The BEST

I dislocated my shoulder skiing last year and was never in so much pain. The doctor at the orthopedic office told me that I needed to sling my shoulder for 2 months and then start physical therapy. I called Colin at C.H. and after a thorough examination of my shoulder, suggested that I start therapy right away because otherwise my muscles would shrink to nothing and make rehab that much harder after 2 months of doing nothing. We started slowly and what I noticed was how important my form is on the exercises to make sure my shoulder joint bones stay in place while focusing on the right muscles to make them stronger. Colin was right there to make sure my shoulder blade and other stuff was in the exact position becuase when it wasn't, PAIN!! I am indebted to Colin and his AWESOME company for saving my 2007 summer. Go C.H.!!!

Pros: Colin is the BEST therapist anywhere

It's amazing to me how I've been able to get by all these years being so out of shape. It was only 2 years ago that I started having knee and back problems and I know for a fact it was from being out of shape. My sister went to this place for physical therapy for her hip and highly recommended it to me, so I decided to give it a try. What I REALLY apprecitaed about c.h. was that I went there for training and during my meeting with my trainer, I was shocked to find out that I would qualify for insurance coverage for physical therapy! This saved me a lot of money and allowed me to come 1-2 times a week to get my program together. My back and knees now feel SO much better thanks to c.h. and I now know how to work out safely on top it. Being a veteran of physical therapy (4 car accidents in 10 years) I can tell you that this is THE BEST place for therapy anywhere. I give them my strongest recommendation!

Pros: Learned how to exercise to decrease my pain, great equipment, wonderful physical therapists, location is perfect

Cons: A little difficult to get good appointment times sometimes

I initially came to CH for physical therapy. My neurologist sent me there to help cure my low back pain (which I had for 15 years), much to my amazement as I told her I had already been to therapy TWICE with NO improvement. So my expectations were not exactly on the high side. When starting my treatment at CH, it was very different from the beginning because of the thoroughness of my consultation and how easy it was to get my insurance to cover my treatment. Colin discovered several problems missed by even my neurologist, such as muscle atrephy in my hip muscles that help me walk normally. I now go to CH for personal training services every so often and just love the whole staff there. I'm stronger in my hips and rest of my body. And as Colin told me from the beginning: I'm the strongest I've ever been in my mind! I keep trying to get my husband to go to CH but he's too stubborn. But there's no doubt about the wonderful progress I've made because of how CH handles its business and patients. Two thumbs up!!!

All I wanted from therapy at CH was to be able to walk without pain in my right knee. At 62 years old and feeling every minute of it, my geriatrician told me to try therapy at this clinic because so many of her patients had experienced beautiful results. The arthritis in my knee had steadily grown worse to where I could no longer play with my grandchildren in the park, and this was my major goal. What I got from working with Colin as my therapist was not just a knee that doesn't hurt anymore, but I can do something that I haven't been able to do in almost a decade: I jumped! I did it on accident while playing with my grandchildren in the park and with ZERO pain! I was so excited that I called CH to tell Colin to share in my amazement. It's been almost 3 years since going to PT with Colin, but I still do my exercises every week and still have a knee that fully functions. My doctor is happy, my grandchildren are happy, Colin is happy, how could I ask for anything more?

Pros: Everything! Best PT's in town, wonderful environment, location, office staff

Cons: Parking is a little far away

In 1999, I was in a serious car accident that practically disabled me. My doctor (in New York at the time) told me that I would always have pain and walk with a limp. Unwilling to accept my prognosis, I tried everything from physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, personal trainers, massage therapists, you name it. NOTHING helped fix my neck and back problems. In 2006, I had another car accident that wasn't nearly as bad but aggravated my neck/back problems more, which was the last thing I needed. My new Portland doctor told me about C.H. and how different their approach is, so I gave it a try but with little expectations. WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! My physical therapist, Colin Hoobler, worked patiently but with high expectations of me for 8 months and literally transformed my life. My neck/back pain are not completely gone, but much more manageable. I'm 33# lighter and MUCH stronger than I ever been. I know how to exercise correctly to control my injuries instead of the other way around. I've sent several of my coworkers to C.H. and the response is always the same: C.H. is the BEST place for P.T. anywhere!!

Pros: Unique P.T. methods that work, great P.T., helpful office staff, location

Cons: Parking should be a little closer to entrance

Colin has the best show in town! He obviously knows what he's doing because he has his own television shows and is expanding his business faster than a rabbit on wheels. He's also widely respected by doctors as I've personally talked to a few of them who see Colin regualrly for fitness guidance. I had really bad planter fashiitis (sp???) and could barely walk when I came to Colin a year ago. I was also really overweight. Colin showed me how to exercise right so that my foot stopped hurting and had the kindest touch and demeanor during the process. Besides making my foot stop hurting I also dropped almost 20 pounds, learned how to eat right and also joined a gym. I now exercise 3 times a week (3 more than I had for 20 years before Colin) and love every minute of it. I see Colin a couple times a month for his wit, great sense of humor, and motivation. I'll always rely on CH for my fitness!

Pros: Full service, knowledgeable, professional, great equiment

Cons: n/a

For the last 2 years I have had knee troubles that eventually caused me to stop playing golf. My doctor gave me countless steroid injections that did nothing to help. Last year, I heard about this clinic through a friend of mine who had therapy there for her shoulder and so I decided to give them a try. My doctor said that physical therapy probably wouldn't do anything but make me feel "warm and fuzzy" for an hour but I wanted to try it anyway, because the CH website implied that the therapy was different from other places. To say that the therapy helped is an understatement! I'm stronger than I ever have been, leaner, and able to play golf with my wife again because my knee just does not hurt anymore. My most difficult club, the driver, is no problem anymore with my new fitness and to top it off, insurance covered the whole thing! How could you get any better than that!

Pros: They know what they are doing, insurance coverage, professional

The training I've received at CH has been first class ever since my first session there about one year ago. The trainers are knowledgeable and creative in their craft because no matter the time constraint I have on any given day, they are able to give me a workout that gets me results. Collin's the best trainer ANYWHERE, hands down not just because he's smart but because he knows how to apply his education to his profession to help me achieve my fitness dreams. He defintiely walks the walk and I really appreciate this as an artist because this guy is passionate about what he does and it shows. The front office staff has always been great with handling my scheduling demands and that's not easy to do for this man. If anything else, go to CH just to experience training from a first class company that's the best at what they do. One of my friends sees Robbie for therapy on her shoulder and she loves it.

Pros: Best training experience, equipment, able to get me in and out in little time

I went to C.H. after a car accident in 2005 and loved the quality of the care I received then. Then I broke my ankle last summer and had my doctor refer me back to them for another round of PT and I was surprised to see how many improvements Colin had made to an already wonderful company. The front office staff now seems to be more consistent and better able to help me with insurance issues and scheduling. The PT's at C.H. are top notch as they were when I was there in '05, but even better because they have more experience. I now use Colin for training every few weeks and he's a class act in every way. He's fun to be around, smart as a tack, and has the best skills as a clinician I've ever seen. Believe me, I've had other PT's who were nice people but don't compare to Colin and his team. I'll never go anywhere else for my therapy or training.

Pros: Consistent high quality care
