Not only is the Dept. the only indoor skatepark in Portland (thanks guys!), but now Cal's Pharmacy skateshop is right next door! It's like the perfect combination! Any day of the year I can go hook up a new board and then go next door to the Dept and skate my heart out one of the best street courses in the nation! I love that when I wake up and it is all gloomy and rainy outside, I know I don't have to get bummed because I will still be able to skate. This place is world class! They have tons of pros that come through town and skate it and do demos and stuff.

• Pros: Dry place to skate
• Cons: gets busy on weekends

DEPT. rocks!

Finally, a dry place to skate! I wish it was free, but whatever.. none of the good things in life are free. The weekdays are best to avoid the million little groms that skate every which way at once.
