Disappointed
by touchpattern at Citysearch
Not worth it. Especially with Ken's so close by. The croissants taste like Costco croissants and the place reeks of fabrication. Some of the cold pastries are decent if you are used to eating "Starbucks - quality" and the atmosphere looks nice visually but if its fresh, quality, authentic pastries you are after, walk the extra few blocks. I have visited France more than once and this place just doesn't cut it. Case closed.
Tastes good, but it ends there.

The first time I went here I wanted a turkey sandwich. I stepped up, and asked for exactly that. They told me they do not sell sandwiches. Confused I looked into their display and pointed to what looked like a turkey sandwich. They told me it was a Panni, not a sandwich. Seriously?
Second time I went there it was with my boss and a few co-workers. We tried asking the lady behind the counter what was in certain pastries. She had no idea. We ended up getting almond Croissants because at least we know what those are. They were yummy though.
Today I decided to give it a third chance. I ordered a bowl of soup to go. First of all, a simple bowl of soup is $5.50. So it better be the best soup in the entire planet. I then arrive back at the office and open it up. The "bowl" is hardly halfway full! I asked my coworker if that was normal and she said no it should be full. I mean, it was MAYBE 8oz of soup, for $5.50!?!?! Are they kidding? So she returned it when she went to get her lunch and they did give us a free pastry to make up for mistake. So at least there is that. But what made it even crazier, is when my co-worker got back, her "sandwich" was not what she ordered. But she was not about to go back again.
Over all, they are mean, rude, unknowledgeable and overpriced. On the upside, almost all of what they serve tastes good. So if you don't mind not getting what you ordered or being treated like dirt, then try the Strawberry Mille Feuilles.
Not living up to it's potential

I had really high hopes for St. Honore when it opened but it just isn't living up to what it could be. The croissants should be much better. The baguette tastes like it was baked the night before, even at 8:30 am. The salads are expensive but they used to at least be huge; the last time I got one it was half it's normal size with the same price. There are some good/great items there but overall I think that a French bakery, run by a French man with tons of experience (he was the opening baker for Le Panier) should be much better.
Oh! Also, any time I have asked for an 8 oz. espresso drink they serve it in a 12 oz. cup. Being a French bakery, I would think that they should be able to make a European sized drink instead of a huge American one. Very dissatisfying. I recommend Pearl Bakery or Ken's for much better pastries and baguettes.
- Pros: it's cute and some good sandwiches, etc.
- Cons: should be much better, especially for the prices
Good coffee, nice pastries, snobby snobby service

My husband and I went in for our second time last night around 7:00. Apparently, the boss must have been gone, because they decided they were going to close early. They served us as if they were doing us a favor and forced us to take our pastry to go. They locked the door, locking us in. Their large side door was open and a couple of old ladies came in and they quickly kicked them out. Needless to say, it kind of made my pastry taste bad when I got home, after being treated that way. A shame too, the first time we came in, the place was bustling and the service was efficient. I don't know that I want to return again, there are plenty of places in town where they don't belittle you for simply wanting to patronize thier place.
- Pros: Yummy pastry, coffee
- Cons: Caustic service
Service is bad

The guy who served me had a very bad attitude when I purchased cakes. He did not give me the receipt and left the counter right after he gave me the change. I don't care the cakes are good or bad, I will not come back to this place again.
- Cons: , very bad services
