I found Nicole to be very intuative about my body and problem areas without me even telling her. Her communication was appropriate when she needed a check in for depth of deep tissue work,so as not to over-do.Her hands knew when to give me deeper work as well as stretching. I was impressed with her background of massage as she worked. She took the time to answer my questions and give me guidance. All the therapists at the studio were professional, atmosphere soothing and noone was pushy. I like the flexability and accomodations of the long hours for working people,as well as location. I have has massages for over 20 years and I rate this as one of the best.

Very Professional and Friendly!

I found this place online while looking for an early Valentine's Day couples massage for my boyfriend and me. Their price was great, and they were able to accommodate us when most spas are closed! We had the pleasure of having Lisa and Christie as our massage therapists and I can't say how happy I am at their warm and caring demeanor as well as their friendliness and professionalism at all times. There was no chatting during the massage between them, and they made sure all of our needs/concerns were met and that it was a wonderful personal experience for us. I like the fact that it is more of a private setting rather than your typical full service day spa with tons of people in the waiting rooms. LOL my boyfriend was so relaxed he almost fell asleep on the table. :) It was a wonderful experience and we will more than likely be back again!

Great Acupuncturist

I tried acupuncture for the first time following a car accident I was involved in that left me with severe whiplash. I saw a few acupuncturists and had good results, but never had any practitioner show such enthusiasm and dedication to my case until I was treated by Equilibria's Lori Petras. She is always looking for new angles and fresh approaches to my treatment. Lori is very dedicated to continuously furthering her education in oriental medicine and her enthusiasm for acupuncture and its benefits makes her eager to take the extra step to ensure that her patients get real results from their treatments. I have had great results with Lori and would highly recommend her to anyone considering acupuncture. Outside of being an outstanding practitioner, Lori is a warm and caring person who I also now consider a friend.

She should wear a cape

I was completely inexperienced with acupuncture when I went in to see Lori. I had a small fear of needles and was uneducated in all of the benefits it had to offer. Lori was patient and very informative. She has a wonderful bedside manner not to mention sense of humor. Over time the treatment has made a more than noticeable difference, and I find myself visiting her for not only treatments but good conversation. Acupuncture has now become a regular part of my life and overall health routine. I would recommend Lori to anyone that is looking for a rewarding healthy acupuncture experience.

Such Good Acupuncture!

I've been to a lot of different acupuncturists. Most have been very good. Some not so good. Lori at Equilibria is better than good. I would even have to say outstanding. My reason for seeing her is that I've been struggling with chronic exhaustion for a long time now and it has been getting worse lately. Doctors have said that my adrenals aren't very happy. As I said, I've been to a lot of acupuncturists and what Lori did was similar in many ways but different. She used some Japanese acupuncture techniques that I had never experienced before. After my first session, I felt like I had just had a triple espresso but without all of the agitation. Just a lot of good energy. After my second session, I felt more grounded than I had in a very long time. I'll be going back every week. I wish I could go more often :)

Last minute bliss!

I was so happy to get a same-day appointment when I woke up in the worst back pain ever after too much holiday/work stress. Even better, my massage therapist really worked deeply on my knots to go beyond simple relaxation. I felt my mobility returning by the end of my appointment; I also appreciated the tips for simple stretches to try at home/work.

Bad experience

My husband and I went for a couples massage at Equilibria. The massage itself was not impressive; we each requested deep tissue massage and mine was lighter than a Sweedish massage while my husband experienced himself being jerked around and felt pain rather than deep massage. This was bad enough, but what really upset me (and spurred me to write a review) is that the 2 gals were talking to each other during our couples massage. It was totally unprofessional, not to mention distracting and the opposite of relaxing. I won't go back here for any services.

Our customers usually leave feeling very happy with their experience, which is reflected clearly in our other reviews. Our therapists always try and give customers exactly the massage they are looking for and are willing to adjust in any way to make it just right. And talking during a massage is definitely not the norm. We let the customers decide whether or not they want conversation during their massage. Excellent Massage

I 'm a physical therapist and was here from NY to visit my brother. I was already overdue for a massage when I'd overdone it biking around Portland. So I went ahead and got scheduled for a 90' session. I saw Julia and the treatment was very helpful and professional. Whether you live nearby or are visiting I would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Equilibria to anyone looking for a great deep tissue massage. The staff is very professional and the space is full of relaxing, soothing energy. Tahlia and Jennifer were both very receptive to my back and neck issues and I left the appointments feeling revived and limber again. The accommodating business hours also made it extremely easy to schedule on my behalf. Top notch for massage studios. Equilibria has all the right elements! AJT

Superb Massage Experience

i so look forward to a massage at Equilibria. I've had treatments from almost all of the therapists and I would go back to any one of them! Plus, they are open 7 days a week which makes it much easier to fit a massage into my schedule. The atmosphere is great - everyone is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it!
