Wonderful Service!!
by MattieC
I checked out the recommendations before visiting this establishment. From what I read I was prepared to have to wait a long time and the service to be lukewarm at best. However, Bartini staff was just the opposite. Four things that impressed me:
1. Their prices were amazing for happy hour.
2.They set up the outside seating for me even though they weren’t planning on setting all the tables and chairs up for the evening.
3.They let me take the table for an astonishing 3 hours with my friend even though our bill at the end was very small.
4.They brought us extra bread with our meal when we were out.
- Pros: Gracious and pleasant staff.
- Cons: 0
Great Happy Hour Spot!
by PDXStyle
Bartini is the perfect happy hour spot! As an avid Happy Hour researcher, follower, and regular, I feel that I know what to expect from a Happy Hour offering.
The drinks available are endless and absolutely delicious, and at $3-$4 you feel free to explore new flavors you may have restricted yourself from, in fear of paying $13 for a drink you may not like.
So stop by Bartini and put your usual lemon drop aside, try an herb infused martini or new fruity twist.
- Pros: Best Drink Specials, Yummy Food, Great Music Choices
My Favorite Place for Drinks
by Misae
I love Bartini. If it was a person, I would marry it, flaws and all. They have some of the best drinks that I have had so far. Their Happy Hour is amazing- half price for a full size drink. Amazing!! I hear it tends to get crowded, but I've never really experienced too much of a crowd. I go there for my birthday every year and whenever else I can get a chance. It's small, but the decor is awesome- black walls and green lights. $7.00-$8.00 per drink, which is pretty standard for most places in good ol' P-Town.
- Pros: wonderful drinks, standard prices, killer happy hour
- Cons: small, can get crowded, some snobby waitstaff
Fantastic place

I came into bartini this last Mon with a large table of girlfriends. I came in because it was two of my best friends birthdays. Our group was very loud, we had separate checks, and could have been a difficult table. We, on the otherhand, we very well taken care of and had a fantastic evening! The drinks are incredible, the food was very good, and the service impecable! I would come back to this bar often if I lived in the area. Myself, along with all the women in my group would definately recommend this place to anyone who enjoys going out!!! Thank u bartini
pom and circumstance does not measure up

The service here was terrible. Slow. Abrupt. Somewhat rude.
The martini's were mediocre at best. We had 3 different drinks at our table and all where mostly juice, barely any alcohol and nothing to write home about.
I was mildly disappointed. Mostly just annoyed.
- Pros: good location to other bars
- Cons: loud, bad service, slow, stupid
Pearl in the Pearl

We visited Bartini on 1/31/09. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted and sat down. We were given the menu. The waitress returned just after a couple of minutes. It was my husbands first visit and my second. We had some questions on drinks. The waitress was very knowledgable and made some excellant recommendations for us to decide on what to order. We felt that the service was very good. We also ordered the smokey cheese fondue. It was really good. We would highly recommend Bartini. The prices were excellent, great drinks, very good service. My husband can't wail to go again.
- Pros: Friendly Service, Priced Great
- Cons: Parking

Went back on a Monday and was treated to a special happy hour all day .The waitress informed us as she greeted us to enjoy the deal in March. It was a bit hectic trying to compete with weekend business so my friends and I decided it would be a good way to start the work week. The bar can't help it if it's loud and hectic on weekends so this was more my pace. Still a good vibe but with a bit more room to negotiate and it happened to be a sunny day and they had a few sidewalk tables open. The Spicy Affair won me over that day and for dessert, The Thin Mint. Yum. Seeyasoon!
Too much hype and inattentive servers

A girlfriend of mine and i decided to go out on a Sunday afternoon for happy hour, neither one of us had eaten here, so we decided to give it a shot. My friend actually HAD tried to get in once, but said that she waited patiently at the door to be seated for 10 MINUTES without so much as an acknowledgement from a single employee to tell her to seat herself or to help her find a seat. I figured this must be a fluke situation, why would anyone be so rude to customers? Being in the service industry myself, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. My friend and I walked in and waited by the door. Admittedly, it was busy. After a couple of minutes, I decided to ask for myself what we should do. I walked up to one of the many employees ignoring us and said hi. She turned around just long enough to turn around and look at me and walk away (!!!!!!). We left immediately, and needless to say, we will not make another wasted attempt at drinking any of their, from what I could tell from glancing at their drink menu, rather sugary martini list.
this is a keeper

im new in town, looking for trendy, funky places to go and came across bartini. First i thought it was really dark and bohemian, but after being greeted by this out of control bartender i knew this was the place i was looking for. the drink menu is like something from baskin and robins, ofering pretty much every ingrediant combination you can think of. my drink came out so fast, i thought it was premade, but after watching the bartender i realized he was just fast. the food is great also. alittle small, but thats ok. if you're looking for something that unique to portland, Bartini is it.

I really enjoyed going to Bartini and I am planning on going back tonight for happy hour. It's a little dark but has some fun decore...it's the perfect place to go and catch up with a friend! I loved the martinis and I had no complaints about the service, it was prompt and polite. The fondue looks amazing although I have not had the chance to taste it...yet! I've been to my fair share of bars in Portland and I like this place! I'd say give it a try and form your own opinion.
- Pros: Great drinks! FONDUE!
- Cons: A littl dark!
