In today's world thousands of lethargic and bored customer service employees wander around in a state of confusion. It is truly refreshing and uplifting to encounter people who love what they are doing and are willing and ABLE to inform you and talk to you about their product, not pressure you into buying something you don't want or need. They were extremely knowledgeable and made my scooter buying experience very pleasant. These are top notch guys!
Pros: Knowledgeable and friendly people!
Cons: Small parking lot :-(

We have spent this entire summer (2008) becoming conversant in "scooterese." This journey has taught us the difference between quality scooters and cheap, Asian junk. We have learned that often so-called scooter reviews can be misleading and less than honest. Parts and service can be non-existent for many of the scooters available on the market and many dealers are "fly-by-night." We have spent the last six weeks traveling to every scooter store we could find. While awaiting our Team Oregon motorcycle class, we have sat on the scooters, messed with the switches, mirrors, trunk. We’ve seen loose mirrors, ignition switches that wobbled, loose spokes (tone was radically different on some as a guitar pick was run over the spokes), gas tanks that were located in such a way that a trunk couldn’t be added, etc. After much research, we narrowed our choices to the People S 200 and the Sym HD 200. While Columbia Scooters was very friendly and knowledgeable, we were quite impressed by the Scooter Station. Stephan spent a lot of time with us explaining the differences in scooters, the history of them, and why Sym is a superior brand. He carefully listened to our needs as customers and steered us towards the Sym HD 200. After a test-drive, we were sold and have purchased this solid scooter. It is disconcerting to read some of the reviews here. As for the person upset about the Chinese scooter "snub", I am left wondering how many other issues they have had since their relay switch failure. If I were the owner of a scooter shop, I would steer clear of servicing the Chinese brands as well. With parts hard to find or non-existent, why would a reputable scooter shop mess with this nightmare, especially if the replacement parts are likely to fail as well. Where is the upside? We HIGHLY recommend The Scooter Station. Go and meet Stephan and you will see what we mean. He is deeply passionate about his product and his wealth of knowledge is amazing.

So if you want to buy a scooter from a local business that treats you old school: Stop by here! Real people! Wow! Great expertise after years in business and not the personal bitterness and corporate attitude displayed by other scooter shops in town. My scooter? HD125.....what a blast!
Pros: good looking staff, awesome scooter!
Cons: Don't know.

I wanted a scooter for years. I knew it had to happen eventually. Of course I have to decide to buy one in 2008. Apparently the 'craziest' scooter season ever. In the last three months I went to all the scooter shops in town for at least five times. The guys at Scooter Station are by far the friendliest, most knowledgeable scooter shop in Portland. They took their time with me, really answered every question I had in depth and didn't get annoyed with me even when I showed up the forth time to 'quiz' them ;-) After days of internet research and a handful of test rides I finally made my decision: A 2008 SYM HD200 from Scooter Station. What a great bike! They even delivered it to my house. I am a little surprised to read the other reviews. All the other shops were lacking that little bit of personal effort that made me feel so comfortable at Scooter Station. Well I hope I can contribute a little bit to the positive word-of-mouth here. Thanks Guys.
Pros: Great Knowledge, Friendly, Great quality products.
Cons: small parking lot.

Unfortunately, another bad experience with these guys. They carry quality scooter brands, but their after-purchase support is quite poor. They never return your phone calls and always ask for you to "call back later" if you do reach someone, which results in an endless cycle. I wouldn't recommend these guys as they're unable or unwilling to provide any customer service so proceed with caution if you really have to buy a brand that they carry.
Pros: Good brands
Cons: Poor customer service

I happen to own a very nice CHINA made 150cc touring scooter that gets 135 miles to the gallon and costs about 3 times less then the ones you would buy from this the "Scooter Station". I called to find out if I could purchase a part "A Flashing relay" from them, instead of taking my business to the internet. The guy who answered the phone was nice up until the moment I answered his first question, "What type of Scooter do you have?" When I said a "China brand scooter" his voice changed and I swear it seemed like I told him I had some contagious disease. It is too bad that this establishment is only there to assist those who purchase their "superior or should I say just plain overpriced scooters". I would bet that their "upity scooter's" probably require the same "Flashing Relay switch" that my China brand scooter does. I will never recommend or buy anything from this biased establishment. Not a good way to treat anyone. You could have atleast given me the time of day. Hope you enjoy losing business. A dissapointed NE Portland Resident.

After much research of the scooter shops in town, I was happy to give scooterstation the business! They were so patient and helpful with me. I felt free to think over the specs and the financing. After mulling it over, i returned to scooterstation to purchase my first 50cc SYM Mio scooter and I LOVE IT! It is so much FUN! I can't wait for warmer weather when it will be my only mode of transportation!
Pros: very helpful, patient, 2 year warranty!
Cons: none

We researched all of the scooter shops in town. We found Scooterstation to have the best customer service and a professional staff. We purchased two SYM HD200 scooters. They have proven to be very reliable. I'm even considering upgrading to a 250cc. model. Our experience at Scooter Station has been nothing less than great!
