New Menu at Three degrees
by Mommyanne
We ate there last night. The stared items are happy hour items but you can not have a salad instead of fries even though the menu says they are offered. We spoke to the manager and she was defensive and said they serve thousands and no one complained before. Food was poor quality as well. Not the same place...
- Pros: Waiter was helpful
- Cons: The menu is misleading
Disappointment
by Nick60
There was no riesling or merlot by the glass. A glass of cabernet was $11. We had 2 bottles of wine, averaging $50 each. I had the roasted beet salad and sole, neither of which was special. Even at much lower prices, it was not what I would return to. There is much greater value to be had in Portland. Sorry.
- Cons: Price and product
Never Again!
by jaddy222
They act as if they are doing YOU a favor to wait on you.
Very snobby and haughty bar people. We left after one drink and will NEVER go back.
- Pros: none to speak of
- Cons: Don't Go the service is atrocious
bad service/attitude
by mdhall7
not worth the view...
Fat old ladies and geeks come here, the only ones to put up with the attitudes and lack of service.
- Pros: view
- Cons: bitchy staff/poor service
Went to Three Degrees for Mother's Day Buffet
by pinkginger
Made reservations for mother's day buffet which was not being served when we got there. We ordered from their brunch menu and most of the food was just ok. Nothing special to write home about. The waitress was good and the dishes were comparable to Shari's menu. Like the water view. Won't be going back though.
- Pros: good for kids, view of water
- Cons: lacks any kind of imagination in the menu, hotel restaurant
Nice deck, not notabler otherwise
by Tonkspnw
My Husband and I were lured to Three Degrees for the happy hour menu. I thought I had read that they had $3 martinis but actually it's $3 drafts and house wine. The portions for happy hour were large but there was no ambiance to the place. I could see it being good for the cheap prices but this isn't what I would consider a remarkable or special place.
p.s. after we left this lackluster place we finished out the happy hour at Andina and LOVED everything about it!
- Pros: nice deck with a riverfront view
- Cons: hotel bar feel
Great lunch spot!
by dombrowski122
Lunch is a great way to sample a restaurant's fare without the financial commitment. I ordered the roast beef sandwich and went to heaven. The roast beef was thin sliced, with a hint of crispiness around the edges. It was served with a brilliant au jus, delicious french fried potatoes, and a kosher pickle. The service was prompt and courteous and the view from the main dining room was nice too. This is a great spot, just be prepared to spend some time looking for parking.
Best place in town ever!!!!!!!!
by cbakerphoto
Great view, friendly staff and great service. By far this place has some of the best drinks in town from their petty grove pear to their starry night even the market street mud pie was wonderful. But i must say if you like cool martinis you must go here there is always something new to try. I even liked the ever changing micro tap handle because you never know whats new. The bar manager told me himself that he never knows from week to week what the rotator will be. Because he is always trying new beers out from all over the world and puts whats new or old but just plain good on tap. So that in it's self gives a reason to come back for more.
- Pros: great happy hour best in town!!!
- Cons: None i love this place.
Great Atmosphere / New Menu leaves bad taste
by goden
This is one of the best kept secrets in Portland for location. The hotel is where we book our out
of town business travelers. The bar is wonderful. The patio / porch seating on a cool summer
evening is the best.
But the new menu in the 3 Degree tries way too hard to impress. I recently dined there
and ordered the Filet because it is the only thing I could easily recognize on the menu.
Menu has been the same last 2 times I have been there, and there is little to choose from.
Quit trying so hard on the presentation/description and get back to serving good food.
- Pros: Location on the river
- Cons: Food is avg for the price
Pretenious
by belugawhale
They have a new menu that is trying to hard. The selections are limited and the descriptions are so pretentious. I should not need a dictionary to identify what I am going to eat. I really liked this place and it is sad to see the changes that have happened. The bar service was fabulous as always but the dinner service was less than desirable. We use to recommend this restaurant to out of town guests that are staying at the Riverplace Hotel but now we will be recommending another restaurant.
- Pros: Great location, great views
- Cons: Pretentious menu, poor service
