BAD customer service. I don't know if the wait staff/cooks were having a bad day, but it took over 40 minutes for us to get our food - and it wasn't even that busy. Our group saw at least two other tables served way before us even though they arrived after we got there. We got a lot of attitude as well. For example, when we asked about our food the waitress tersely told us, "it wasn't ready yet!" Not even a "sorry," not even a smile...nothing! zilch! Next time I'm going to My Father's Place next door. On the upside, the food is excellent for a bar.

Pros: Great food

Cons: Unfriendly, slow service

I've been to Slow Bar about twenty times and have only had one off experience. The service is always good, even when the bar is packed. Fridays and Saturdays it takes longer, but just order a bucket of Sessions and take it easy. The food is incredible (especially the burgers [they use Strawberry Mountain Organic Beef]). The atmosphere is cool but not pretentious. The music is sometimes lame, but it's not usually too loud, just too rockin. The only reason I hasten to write such a glowing review is because I don't want all you jokers going there and gobbling up the booths.

Pros: Food, service, atmosphere. Basically everything.

Cons: Sometimes the clientele is weak sauce (not the bar's fault!!). Rarely the music.

Great place to go. Not your average bar food. The foods great. How many bars can you actually go to and get a great meal. The hamburgers there are the best I've ever had. Very trendy, I love the juke box and the people there are very friendly.

Pros: Good eats/drinks

Cons: can be a little smokey

This place is so solid. Lots of overrated places in PDX, but this place delivers. Best burger I have ever had.

unless you know someone. i was at slow bar with a friend and we were ignored and then curtly dealt with by the waitress....until the owner came to talk with us because he is friends with my friend. then she treated us like gold. it was unbelievable. since then, the service is always horrible. i guess i should only go there with my cool friend...but they have an amazing burger, so it is worth the needlessly rude servers.

Slow Bar is generally great...depending on your bartender. If your there when the 'good' bartenders are working, the service, drinks and food are all stellar. But there are several bartenders I won't even go in if they're working, because I'll never get service (regardless of how busy it is).

I was surprised to find this small bar with some of the best pub grub I've ever had. There also were these giant booths that made for great privacy. This is a very urban bar with a mostly dowtown crowd. The music came from a jukebox with a great mix of 80's Pop and punk. This is deffinetly my new favorite bar. See ya there!!!

We went in to scout out a good place to have a large group, and were severly disapointed. It took 10 minutes just to place an order, sitting at the bar, amongst maybe 8 people in the entire place. The bartender seemed more interested in talking with the cook, than pouring me a beer. I don't recommend the slowest bar ever.

This was our first time trying this place and were pleasantly surprised. Good drinks and a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately the music selection tended to dip and we were also turned off with the loud "bouncer" who seemed to like drawing attention to himself. Otherwise the food was fine and the waitress was very good also.

You have to be an insider to get any service here. The bartender made two horrible drinks, both went untouched, when I mentioned this he said "sorry it's what you ordered", which was a martini, and what I was served was a cup of cough syrup. We were charged full price had a below average cold fondue, very bad drinks, and non existent service. Save yourself $$$ and time, pass this place up.
