Ward Stroud is amazing!!

Dezi Salon has a great vibe and great people. Ward Stroud continues to be amazing, giving me wonderful cuts and colors. He's got a great sense of assessing a person's style and helping give you your best look. I'll definitely continue to go to him at his new location.

The Very Best!

The only place I will go to in the northwest...! I absolutely trust Josh's judgment and his knowledge. Kind, gentle and fun - he listens to your 'wants' and 'concerns' while offering suggestions. This man has a lot of talent - he knows what he is talking about and doing. Believe me - he knows color and how to work with all types of hair.

I've been to my share of salon's where I'm treated like a $... Stacking up clients while my color is processing, interrupting a cut to trim someone's bangs, or yacking on the phone while styling my hair. No concern about my time or me or their work. You won't find this at Dezi, you won't find this while in Josh's care.

In addition to Josh's talent and care as a hair stylist - they have the best operation's manager you'll ever meet. Dan is exceptional... The salon is run well, always clean, decorated tastefully, and again, Dan will take care of you and make you feel very special.

I realize this review sounds like a sales pitch - well... I've been going to Dezi for a few years and I've never been disappointed.

Awesome place!!

I've been to Dezi twice. I had Kristen cut my hair prob a year a go and Josh just last week. Kristen was awesome and I loved the haircut she gave me.

Josh was also super awesome and friendly. He listened to what I wanted, gave suggestions and the result is a great haircut! The best thing about this salon is that their stylists actually take their time, they don't rush you, they listen, give recommendations and show you how to style your hair. I'm super happy to finally find a great salon! Thanks Dezi!

Cute place and awesome people

I had one of those days where I just felt like a make-over. Unfortunately my usual hair salon never offered any advise or help about changing my hair cut dramatically (or at all) and I needed someone with an actual opinion.

After reading a couple reviews I decided to give Dezi Salon a call and within an hour I was sitting in a chair (on a Saturday!) and got excellent recommendations from Amber. She voiced her opinion about the style I wanted and brought up some ideas so it would work for me. She helped me a lot with the final decision and I have to say; not only do I love my new hair-do but also the experience was absolutely wonderful!

I would recommend Dezi to anyone!!!

Nicole is awesome!!!

I was so happy when I found this little jewel in the Pearl! I previously paid a visit to Dirty Little Secret a year and a half ago and dreaded the experience so (which explains the long wait to have my hair cut again).

At Dezi, the atmosphere is very friendly, inviting and hip! Nicole was very attentive to my concerns and put me at ease. She gave me a great haircut, plus products tips and styling options for my 3b/3c curls. The Dezi crew are awesome... let's just say, that I noticed Josh and Nicole discussing my hair when I was under the dryer. It's great to have your stylist having a discussion with another about your mop! I have finally found a stylist! The only downside is the parking, but what would you expect, it is the Pearl District!

If you have curly hair and you live in the Portland metro area, you can't go wrong with this salon!

Thank you so much to Dezi Salon and especially Amber! They are such lifesavers! After having the utmost terrible of haircuts, at another salon a few blocks away, I ventured past Dezi on my way home and stopped in to see if they could help me. I was kindly and warmly greeted by the receptionist and introduced to Amber. She knew exactly what I wanted for a style and let me just say, I left a very very very happy person. Just wanted to say thank you and I will be back!!

Love my color

I just moved to Portland, and found this salon on citysearch. I went in and had Kristen do my cut and color. I was nervous and told her I wanted some red and blond highlights. She was great. I have had some bad experience with hairstylists in the past. When I have asked for this color before, I left the salon with awful streaky not red but pink highlights. But not this time, Kristen gave me the best color I've had in years! Thank you for patience with me and I will be back.

Great cut and color

I've been to Dezi twice and have loved the results from Ward both times. The first time (August 2008) I just got a cut. This time (October 2008) I got both a cut and color. Ward, you're a color genius! Even my middle school students (who can't keep a comment to themselves under any circumstance) loved it, so I know it's good. I will be back again soon! Thanks, Ward!

Ward is a Genius

After many failed experiences at other salons my partner and I decided to go see Ward at Dezi's Salon on 23rd ave and we couldn't be happier. His knowledge of the business and the products put us at ease and instantly made us comfortable. He gave great recommendations and an even better cut and color. His technique using "flying scissors" was very trendy and gave me great texture. He put the fun back into getting our hair done and was priced very competitively!

Awesome service, cuts, and color!

It is so hard to find someone who can cut hair well, and apply color properly... usually stylists really excel at one, and lack experience in another. Not so with Nicole: super nice lady... with awesome skill. Having someone who knows what they are doing working on your hair totally makes the experience stress- free. I cannot recommend her enough!

Great haircut and color

I was visiting Portland and needed a hair change and a friend recommended Dezi's. Ward was fantastic with his expertise and recommendations. I love the cut and color and he did a great job with curly hair. Seriously, the best haircut I have every had and I would highly recommend!
