We were SO happy to find this place in our neighborhood. Honestly, we would come here even if we had to drive across town.
Amber and JJ really know their wines and beers and always have a great recommendation.
I've come to know and like these folks, so now I'm a little biased, but I tell you true.
Sunday afternoon wine tastings (sometimes beer) with a spread of goodies are a special treat.
right on.
- Pros: Super-Knowledgeable people, great wines and beers
- Cons: umm...
Every night is a great night at La Bodega!!
by gshoes
I love this place! Amber is on it in the kitchen always coming up with some good eats, and really puts it out on the tasting Sundays!!! They say wine bar, but OMG the beer selection is incredible!!! You can actually buy it and take it home too!! I love sitting on the patio in the evenings and when the weather isn't great the music inside and the cozy atmosphere are perfect! It feels more like you're somewhere in europe sitting in a little bar than in pdx! I really enjoy this quaint, well serviced, totally knowledged, great selection, local spot!
- Pros: location, atmosphere, selection, staff
Fantastic spot!
by foofoo23
My boyfriend and I try to come in every week or so. They have a great happy hour deal on wine, where you get a generous pour for about half the price. I've noticed that they've expanded their food menu, but their meat and cheese plate really shines! Every time we come in, they will switch it up a bit and the owner always gives a good presentation of each item they are serving. This place is nice and kick-back, a welcome addition to the neighborhood!
- Pros: Fantastic food and wine
- Cons: Can't think of any
Fabulous tastings
by thomashovland
This is a great place. Friendly, incredibly knowledgeable & entertaining staff; wonderful selection of affordable, interesting wines; amazing selection of beer from around the globe; and Sunday tastings that are becoming THE place to be in the neighborhood. Tasting offer unusual seasonal selections, alternating between wine & beer week to week. Very tasty, interesting, and carefully thought out food is served. On the regular menu, they now offer fantastic grilled sandwiches made with to-die-for bread baked on the premises. Makes it easy to stay for dinner. I have tried and learned to love wines I would not have ever imagined!
- Pros: selection, affordability, patio
- Cons: want to go every night
Great wine knowledge, great beer list
by jannahern
I've never seen such an amazing beer list, from all over the world. It was a lot of fun to go throught the list and try beers from places I've been.
The wines were great, too, food is limited but nice. The owner knows a ton about wine, and is a great resource.
Overall, fun, charming and a great place!
- Pros: Wine list, owners, beer list
- Cons: Limited food

Great selection of great beers!
by beaconlight
My dad and I stopped by the other day looking for some good beers. They have a large selection of great beers from around the world. We had a very nice Belgian holiday beer there and took the others to go (25% discount on beers to go). They also had a nice looking wine selection but we were focused on the beers this time. The atmosphere was nice and they were really friendly. They were making home made bread that I would have loved to try. Maybe next time.
Nice new Neighborhood place
by santafestray
I stopped in here with a friend for a drink the other night, and the wine was fantastic! The folks who run the place were helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly, and patiently answered all of our questions. The ambience will improve with time, I think... it feels a bit stark in there, but things will warm up as the place gets broken in. Check it out.
- Pros: quality of wine, nice service, location
- Cons: ambience
