If we could we'd give Patty 10 stars. The best testament we can offer regarding her services relates to the time we came to pick up Sadie, our wonderful little Sheltie, after being away on a long trip. My wife rang the Patty's doorbell and when Sadie came to the door she took one look at my wife and without missing a beat went back inside! Enough said, Rick P.

Pros: She loves her animal guests, is careful to limit the number of pets at any one time to make sure that she can give each dog the attention he/she deserves. Wonderful facilities.

Cons: Absolutely NONE!

Inside & out this buisness is simply put, a MUST SEE! The dog yard resembles a botanicaal garden and offers a huge manicured lawn that is well fenced and dog-friendly. Dogs are welcome to come outside & in at will through a doggie door onto a deck. They can lounge outdoors in a well built gazebo away from the sun or rain. I have seen many dog hotels in my travels but this wins 5 stars as the best anywhere, ... paws down !! You can immediately sense what these people are about when entering the foyer. The dogs enjoy safe & secure play areas to fit their individual needs, under a watchful eye. There is even a little infirmary complete with sterile supplies in the case someone gets a boo boo during their stay. This is affordable excellence w/o any hidden costs for any special needs or attention your dog may require. This is the first time I can really relax while vacationing with only one worry; what if they don't want to come home!!? This canine home away from home will not stay a best-kept secret for long, so book early and avoid the rush. Keep up the good work!!....bark, bark..!!

Pros: quiet cul-de-sac w/ convenient parking ... open 7 days a week w/ liberal ck-in/out hours

Cons: none...and I'm not easily impressed!

I spoke with the owner of this boarding place about 3 months before thanksgiving and all she talked about was herself. I tried to explain to her my little yorkie's and Pomeranian's needs both medically and mentally. We spoke for over 45 min on the phone (mostly about her). I had asked her if she new anything about seizure dogs and again she just talked and talked about her dogs. I don't think she has any animal medical knowledge or any kind of training/animal behavioral education what so ever. I called her back about 4 weeks later to confirm my boarding and she had no clue who I was and had nothing available. What a waist of my time. That's ok I found an awesome boarding place that took my dog's last minute. Their place was huge, warm, friendly and most of the staff were trainers or animal nurses. They gave me a moment to moment chart of what they did, ate, pooped and if my little baby had siezures and they even timed them and called me everytime. Very professional. If your going to charge people money for your boarding then you are a business. When you are a business you should be professional and remember a 45 min conversation you have with someone on the phone. At least write it down. Don't childcare givers have to have some sort of childcare background or education?? Should it not be the same for animal care? I now know I prefere a kennel, dog daycare or animal hospital to board my animals. They have way more training and I know that they are in professional's hands. I think animal nurses and veterinarians love animals more than these small ma and pa places, because they took the time and money to go to school.

Pros: grass? How do they clean it?

Cons: no animal education

Give me a call and see for yourself!!

I would not allow someone to keep me on the phone for 45 minutes, i'm busy. When someone calls I have a few pertinent questions to ask. I never reserve a boarding date over the phone. I always arrange for a meet and greet with the dog at my home before scheduling a boarding date. A vet record of current shots must be brought to the meeting. I don't take in dogs at the last minute for everyone's safety as to medical history and temperment. I have been caring for dogs for 6 years and have many satified dog lovers who come back regularly with their "children" I do not charge extra for dogs who need shots or medication. If you want to see for yourself call and make an appointment for a vist with your pooch.

Patty and Don are wonderful! We moved to the Oregon coast in Jan of 2007 and immediatelly began searching for a home environment where we could leave our dog Gem while traveling. We found nothing out here on the coast, but our search finally led us to Patty's website. After our initial meeting we knew it was perfect. The dogs are free to run around the house and beautiful backyard. Patty and Don treat each dog as if they were their own. Gem needs medication each morning and is on a special dog food---Patty makes sure she receives them. On our way there we jokingly tell Gemmy she is going to see her "other" parents, and when we drop her off she is always really happy to see them. It really is her second home. Don't hesitate to give them a call--you will be able to travel with the peace fo mind that your dog is cared for and loved while you are away!

Pros: Loving care, beautiful home and yard, kennel-free, lots of playmates

We highly recommend Patty's Precious Pets. We can leave our small dog with Patty and know he will be very well taken care of. It's like he's going on vacation, too! Patty treats all her animals like family, and the animals sense it. Our Murphy seemed very comfortable there. The environment is friendly, with a wonderful yard to play in.
