My friend told me a while back to specifically stay away from Tutto Bene because she claimed that she was sick for an entire day after eating there (horrible vomiting). I disregarded it and never really thought of it again. But I went here a few weeks ago, AND I GOT FOOD POISONING. Please do not eat here. You will regret it. Just do not take the risk (it's really just not worth it).

• Pros: JUST STAY AWAY
• Cons: DONT TRUST TUTTO BENE

Out of this world gelato

This Gelato is fabulous. I too have been to Italy. I questioned the owner about how they prepare their Gelato. It's made everyday fresh. They do not use a pre-made mix like most of the other gelateria's in portland. It's Good, It's consistent..............bravo

i recently visited tutto benne in bridgeport village and i was totally impressed with the gelato and the amazing service that was provided to me by the one or two friendly employees. relating back to that comment, what is with the attitude? besides that, the food is wonderful, the coffee is also great(depending on who is making it and whether or not they care)

visit if you are looking for great gelato and coffee. but be prepared to spend a lot of time waiting and eating.

Amazing Gelato, beautiful presentaion, fantastic customer service

I have been to Tutto Bene on many occasions. I work in the mall and go there almost everday for coffee and gelato. They use Lavazza coffee stright from Italy and has to be the best espresso I've ever had. The gelato is all made in the store and is always beautifully presented (although the other day there was a half of an actual pineapple on the pineapple sorbet which looked silly). The gelato and sorbet are hands down the best in Oregon and they are frequently switching up the flavors and making something new while keeping some of the originals in the rotation. The staff is fantastic. They are always eager to help and are available to answer any questions you may have about the food (i.e. "What makes gelato different than ice cream?"). The cafe does get VERY busy at times and the food takes a little longer to get out, but that is to be expected and the staff always seems to be going as fast as they can while keeping up their amazing service. They have been making some changes which I don't understand. For example, they have switched their pasteries to some aweful french pasteries. Most of them are very dry (i.e. the scones and the cinnamon rolls) or just disgusting (i.e. pumpkin cream cheese coffee cake and the coconut manderine tortella). And please, for your sake pass on the cream puff, it is aweful! Bridgeport itself has a horrible parking situation so if your going during peak hours, don't count on finding a parking spot. But aside from the pasteries and the "image consultant" who does nothing productive, the cafe is AMAZING. The cappaccinos are to die for.

A Wonderful Cafe

My girfriends and I visit Tutto Bene often before or after a Movie at Bridgeport. This cafe is wonderful. It's quick, reasonably priced, great food (Tomato Basil, Cannoli's and Birthday Cake Gelato) are among the best there. The Staff is friendly. We would like to see you stay open a little later on the weekends, particularly during spring/Summer.

Great Gelato and Cool Place

Went to Tutto Bene after a movie this past weekend at Bridgeport Village and the place was jumping. Great place to go for coffee or Gelato after a movie. We got out of the movie at 9:45 pm and just made it in the door. (have you ever thought about staying open later the 10 pm on the weekend?).

In any event the place was packed, the Gelato was terrific.

• Cons: need to stay open later on weekends

lackluster service and declining appeal

i have been a regular customer for some time and over the past couple of months i have seen a major downslide in genuine service and overall quality. i remember a time when i could walk in to a smile and a welcome, now all i get is a grimise and a look of inconvenience. its sad to see such hospitality go down the drain not to mention the quality of the gelato. maybe its the new management mentioned by the previous review (which reaks of a new managements shortcomings) or maybe its the surfacing face of another starbucks, but with fancy icecream ? whatever it may be, im sad to see this once quality establishment go down the drain.

Great Customer Service

I have been at this cafe over 6 times in the last 2 weeks and noticed a big difference in the quality of service toward it's customers. The Gelato has always been fantastic, but the look and decoration has changed all for the better.

Mr. meaty is an idiot. Learn how to spell. I also understand that you were an employee who did not cut the mustard or gelato making and were fired from this cafe and another at bridgeport. So the mere fact is you are tainted and a has-been. grow up loser.

This cafe is terrific. I travel the globe and the one thing that is consistent is the quality of service and the gelato is better today then it ever was when you were making it.

BAD SERVICE,MEAN EMPLOYEES,AND GROSS GELATO!!!!!!!

So I have been going to Tutto Bene for a while and I wont be going back..EVER. The service was just BAD, It dosent take 15 mins for a salad....and trying to pay is a joke i stood there with my cash ready but everyone working was talking and not caring to much about customers.And when i finally did get to pay the older lady that took my money was snappy! She never said hello or if i wanted anything else.

So after a SO-SO lunch I went back for Gelato, and that will never happen again. It had no flavor! No Zip! I might as well had plain ice cream. And what happen to the care that used to be taken there. I have seen a change in employees but thats no reason to give BAD service, if a company cant keep up what they started and the people that made it that way they shouldnt be open...And with that said i will never go back and i wont tell people to go.

• Pros: None to speak of!
• Cons: The whole place!!!!
