I'm at the end of training for a marathon and my knees and ankles are barely hanging on. Laura has done a masterful job at helping heal my aches and pains and is keeping me healthy to continue to pursue my goal. It is amazing! Wonderful atmosphere...very relaxing and a much better experience than any other place in town. I highly suggest you go see Laura today!

I've been leary of having massages since I had back surgery a year ago but no longer. I've seen Laura once and I'm looking forward to returning. She has all the technique anyone accustomed to high quality massage could hope for, plus that extra wallop of healing power that leaves you feeling slightly woozy and very relaxed. Excellent response time to e-mail and very flexible about fitting me in.
Pros: Central location and easy parking
Cons: Stairs up to studio if you're injured or in pain

Laura's been my massage therapist for three years and she's amazing. I actually followed her to Mana because I can't imagine having a better massage. I've sent many friends her way who all like different types of massage and they all love her too. Laura's often trying new products and techniques to make sure her clients get the best treatment possible. As if Laura wasn't enough of a reason to go, Mana is a beautiful, relaxing space and conveniently located.

I've been to several massage therapists in the Portland area and Laura is by far the best! Each time I come in we discuss specific problems I may be having which get extra attention and I always leave feeling completely rejuvenated. The decor creates a low-key, relaxing ambiance. Plus, they have fun promotions every month such as 5 extra minutes per session, or a sample aromatherapy patch (sounds a little weird, but I really enjoyed it :) ). If you're looking for friendly, professional service and a customized treatment you should definitely check Mana Massage out.
Pros: Friendly service, ambience

A few months ago I was involved in an auto collision that knocked my body out of whack to the point where my chiropractor recommended I start getting therapeutic massage. Before I started receiving massages from Jenni Jo, my muscles were so tight from that it made it difficult to adjust my spine. This muscle tension was a large part of the reason I continued to have pain. I am thankful my chiropractor led me to Jenni Jo. Not only has she made it easier for my chiropractor, but I am feeling much better and muscles are relieved. Once you receive a massage from Jenni Jo, you’ll realize the relationship you develop with her is one that is relaxing and educational. I am always so impressed by Jenni Jo’s passion towards helping her clients. Before and after each massage, we discuss problem areas and how I can address them to heal more quickly. Now I have been seeing her once a week and I am rapidly approaching full health. I should not forget to mention, the atmosphere Jenni Jo has created at Mana provides for a calming experience, as well. In no way am I surprised that when Faith Hill received one massage from Jenni Jo that she swept her up and took her on a national tour. Aside from the great care Jenni Jo has given me, it has been fun to hear about her experience of being on tour and her extensive massage work with those who work in the music industry. If you are in need of a massage for pain or simply for relaxation, I highly recommend Mana Massage.
Pros: Effective and relaxing massage therapy

I recently had a massage from Laura. She ROCKS!!! I will totally go back soon. She is strong, but she doesn't hurt--and she got all my sore spots just right! I felt like a new person! I might become a Mana Massage junkie! It's a great space, and Laura is AWESOME!

I had a massage with Laura and she is great! I love the bodycushin and her expert hands. I had a very tight shoulder and she worked out all the knots, she really knows what she is doing. I will go back and often! ask for Laura, she has magic hands.
Pros: quite atmosphere, quality massage

I met Jenni Jo about 8 months ago. We got together to talk about being small business owner's and we struck up a great relationship. We share our successes and our struggles and then one day I got an email saying she was going on tour with Faith Hill and I couldn't have been happier. When she was done with the tour the Oregonian did a story on the front page of the living section telling Portland what a great massage therapist Jenni Jo is and how she is living her dream. Well I decided then and there I was going to get a massage from this gal. I was not disappointed. Her space is really beautiful and relaxing. Her touch is strong but very soothing too. When she turned me over onto my back she placed a hot towel under my neck and a warm flax and lavender eye pillow over my eyes and the sensation was awesome. I am hooked, I will be going to her from now on. I have already sent a friend to her and will be sending more her way. Try Mana massage, you won't be disappointed. Jenni Jo truly has a gift.
Pros: A true expert in her field
Cons: I can't go every day

Brigid provided me with a great deep tissue massage last week that did the trick in helping me to recover from recently incurred kickball distress. The space was mellow, the oil choices were pleasing, and there was none of the chiding about how I should stretch more or drink coffee less that I've heard at several other local spas. She was friendly but kept coversation to a minimum, which I appreciate. I also appreciated the convenience of being able to schedule a massage two hours before I wanted to go in on a Sunday. The price is fairly reasonable, too. I would definitely go back again.
Pros: easy parking, quick scheduling, no chiding about bad habits
Cons: a waiting room for early arrivals would be nice
