...because the price, environment, and lack of service destroyed the experience.

I went with my family for my birthday last week. We arrived at 6:00pm and were immediately seated. The dining room was ice cold, and the vents for the air conditioner were focused down directly on our booth. Had it been 100 degrees outside, this would have felt wonderful, but it was 68 outside and raining. We ordered off the kids menu for the children ($7 for 4 mozzeralla sticks, a pint of milk, and 8 broccoli flowers?), and my teen had the mini burgers (4 Mc'donald's quality small hamburger patties on untoasted dinner rolls with mayo and ketchup and a 20 thin french fries - $12).

My wife ordered the lobster sandwich - which she shared with her mother, and I had the full rck (the properly spelled word is filtered - fix it citysearch - the word isn't always offensive) of baby back ribs, Memphis dry rub. The food the adults were served was exceptional, when it came. Not the best ribs I've had, but for west coast barbeque it was on par for the mark.

That said - the dining experience took us 3 HOURS!!! We left at 8:55pm demoralized and disappointed. After ordering our appetizer (the sampler platter - at $11 it is NOT worth it... go to Denny's and you'll get the same stuff), we were told it would be ready in 10 minutes. After 25 mins, our server came around and refreshed our drinks. I asked about the appetizer. She looked down her nose at me, having just served the same dish to the couple across from us (who had arrived 10 mins after we did) and said, "It takes time to cook." 30 seconds later, they brought us a plate of appetizers... cold... which we sent back. Our meal didn't arrive until 7:45 - also cold... but we were so hungry we didn't care at that point. The manager came around to ask everyone in our section, one table at a time. When she got to our table, she stopped, looked at me, smiled, and moved to the next table. $110 and a horrible birthday. Thanks guys.

  • Pros: The dinner menu food was good, quick seating (small wonder why)
  • Cons: Pricey for the quality, not kid friendly, service should be rated "offensive" - beyond not recommended.
