I interviewed with David because he had the background to deal with my current injury. I hired him because he had the guts to stand up to my ego and attitude in that interview. He continues to hold his own against this sometimes hard-headed client. His first job was to help me overcome my chronic hamstring injury and get back to my old self. This is not an easy task since part of that job meant slowing me down but together we did it. I learned a lot in working with him for that first phase and just 2 weeks ago I ran a 16 mile fun run! But the job does not stop there. Next objective is to gain muscle and teach this girl to lift. Yeah, that's what I said, and that is what he is doing. This is a big direction switch and to make it those 16-mile jogs are put on hold for awhile. Now David is taking the "scary" out of the plates, and squat racks and oly bars and teaching me things like squat form and dead lift form. With this sort of sport form is everything and with him by my side I can focus on form and not worry about getting hurt. I also know that he is looking out for me and that the weight I am using is okay. In all fitness sports it is also important to push to the limit and with David's encouragement and an occasional physical help up I push harder than I could ever push myself. This gives me more confidence and makes me stronger than I cold ever do on a self-learning program. Today I am no longer intimidated to enter the free weight area of the gym and I get very deeply now why hiring a personal trainer is such an important thing to do. It isn't a cheap way to go but in the long run David's work pays over and over again his salary. Two thumbs up and looking forward to where this journey takes me!

As a (relatively) young career-driven professional, physical activity had started to take a backseat to vegging in front of the TV with a few glasses of wine after a long work day. I found myself increasingly depressed with my state of mind and appearance. Being a former marathon runner and lifelong athlete, it was unusual for me to find myself in a way I would most definitely refer to as "out of shape." At 10-15 lbs above my target weight and 2-3% body fat over my ideal, I decided to get serious about six weeks ago. I found David on Citysearch and was encouraged by the user reviews I read as well as his professional and educational background. After an introductory meeting I started twice weekly workouts tailored to my goals of fat loss and toning. I can honestly say this is the best personal training experience I've ever had and I am thrilled with the results! I've lost about 8 lbs in the first six weeks and have gained an amazing amount of muscle tone. The workouts are never the same - in fact there are only a handful of exercises I've even done more than once! Muscles are appearing out of nowhere and my energy levels and attitude have turned a complete 180! In the past my personal trainers have caved into my whining and put me through exercises geared and their goals for me instead of my own. Dave does neither - he tailors workout plans exactly to meet his clients goals and is acutely aware of what his clients are physically and mentally capable of achieving during a workout. He always pushes to the limit and won't accept no for an answer if he knows his client is capable. In my opinion, this is the skill that separates a good personal trainer from a superior one. Dave is a fabulous trainer, and you won't go wrong enlisting him as your workout/diet guru. He won't waste your time or his own.
Pros: Workout variety, background in biomechanics, pushes to the limit!
Cons: none.

I've been working with David for 4 months now, and I never thought having my butt kicked would be so enjoyable. He's personable, so you barely notice how much you're sweating while he is distracting you. But don't get me wrong - he will make you work. He personalizes to each client's goal, so the guys ahead of me do totally different stuff than I do ("Different goals," David says). Really, I can already do things I couldn't do when I started with him. Never thought I'd jump rope 600 times--fast! Well worth the investment of time, energy, $, and sweat.

I recent ly made a personal commitment to attaining better health this year. After doing some research and speaking with one of his clients, I decided to hire David Wayne as my personal trainer. In my first month I've lost a total of 15.25 inches, 12.7 lbs of body fat and gained 3.62 lbs of lean mass. David is personal, funny, encouraging, and most of all really cares about you reaching your personal goals. That is not to say that he is soft. I work hard but I feel confident that I will achieve the goals we outlined.
Pros: Total thumbs up
Cons: None

I am like many women who slowly but surely continued to gain weight as I got older. At 40, I was in the worst physical shape of my life, had given up many things I loved to do because I was too heavy, and was living a life much less fulfilling than I deserved. Enter the search for a personal trainer. I spoke with two other personal trainers before I met David. I knew I needed to find someone who I would feel comfortable in front of since going to the gym was enough of a stressor for me in itself. I met David and signed up with him that very day. You will find him humorous, kind, understanding and completely knowledgeable. If you’re looking to gain back your life (literally!) but find yourself thinking that it’s just too far gone, come talk with David. He will push, encourage, and challenge you -and at the end of just the first 3 months, you too could find yourself 30 lbs lighter, far stronger than you ever believed you could be and well underway to a healthier and happier you – just like me. I’ve got quite a ways left to go, but this is the first time ever that I am filled with thoughts of success and not the fear of failure. This was the scariest -yet the best decision I have ever made. I encourage you to just pick up the phone and give him a call.

David can be very challenging, but very good at what he does. He will cheat at counting but that’s because he’s pushing you. I am only 12 years old, and I go with my mom to the gym. He never lets me give up. Like one time he made my mom do leg presses up to 115 Lbs, he kept faith and cheered me on while I was doing the same weight. I never gave up and at the end I felt very proud! While doing an exercise, he will teach me about what’s happening to my muscles. From David I have learned a lot such as eating sweets in moderation. I would recommend David Wayne as your personal trainer because he will entertain you while you’re doing something difficult.

I'm a 39 y/o mother of three with a bachelor degree in nursing; you would think I would have a clue about nutrition. My idea of a weight loss program was to starve myself and do copious amounts of cardio. I was extremely frustrated at being, what some people call, a fat skinny and my lack of muscle tone. To make things more complicated I had a 2 y/o knee injury that wouldn't heal. Fortunately I met Dave; with his knowledge and understanding of nutrition, physiology and rehabilitation we were able to eliminate all of my knee pain, gain an understanding of the importance of nutrition and muscle building and get toned. For the first time in my life you can see my biceps and triceps. Fortunate for me I also got a best freind. If you want a trainer that is extremely knowledgable, motivating, funny and caring then Dave is a perfect fit for you.
Pros: funny, smart, entertaining, creative

I have been sick for the past 2 1/2 years and finally got a clean bill of health from my doctor. A friend in my building recommended David Wayne as a personal trainer. I think it was the best move that I have made in my recovery. I started working out with David in mid-December and have already lost 13 pounds (lost 20 pounds of fat and gained 7 pounds of muscle). Every workout is different and challenging. David has also given me some great advice on my eating plan. I am really looking forward to the coming months to see how my body will change and I am glad that I made the decision to start working out with David. I highly recommend David as a trainer and suggest you give him a call!!

As a first-timer to a gym, David Wayne really relaxed me and made me comfortable in the new environment. His encouragement and vast knowldge of the body, were key factors to my success. Dave helped me loose 30 pounds and helped me go from a size 12 to a size 6.

I had a class reunion coming up in three months. My metabolism had come to a screeching halt. David stayed on me regarding the way to eat to kick -start my metabolism. I worked out with him 2-3 days per week. I did exactly what he instructed and I lost 25 lbs. for my reunion. I was happy to lose the weight and it felt really amazing to see a firm body in the mirror. I would highly recommend that you train w/David Wayne if you want to reach your goals! He'll make sure that your workout is done properly as to avoid injury. I've worked out on my own in the past. I've always been active. I wasn't losing weight, though. I need the accountability & David will hold you to it! signed.........Look Good @ forty-something
Pros: Not crowded & easy parking
