Most knowledgeable and European art store around

Peter's a great resource for any kind of art material, whether it be something esoteric in the way of art history, products, and material manufacturing. You aren't going into just a store. This is a library.

• Pros: Great resource for anything artistic
• Cons: Slightly higher priced than other stores

Best place for Interactive acrylic paints!

I have been coming to Muse since it opened a few years ago. Now I work down the street and it is even more convienent. Muse carries alot of wonderful supplies and introduced me to the Interactive brand of acrylic paints.

These paints are an oil painters acrylic dream. The shop sometimes has demos (like the interactive one that I was invited too) I appreciated being educated and had fun doing it. The demo actually inspired me to paint again.(All I needed was new paints!)

I have bought most of my art supplies here for the past few years, and will continue. Hawthorne needed a place like this and now it's here.

Oh yeah.. they also have the best prices for pre-stretched canvas that I have found in PDX!

Friendly sales person and community oriented

We are lucky to have this nice little gem of a store in the Hawthorne district. Due to the size of the store the amount of supplies is slightly limited, but they make up for it in their social support of arts.

• Pros: location, nice people
