ordered a double americano and was treated like an imbecile. guess im just not hip enough for this place. have never been treated so rudely by cafe staff anywhere and as a former barista myself, thats too bad because the americano tasted great.
Sandwich Explosion

So nice to go to the Pearl and have fresh sandwiches using unique ingredients. Best of all, the sandwiches change every week, so you do not have to pick from the same menu day in and day out. Coffee is good as well. I think they are the only place in the Pearl that is French pressing. As the other reviewer commented, it is about keeping it local, and as far as I can tell, the Acorn is one of the few places North of Burnside who is doing it.
- Pros: Something different every time.
- Cons: More outside seating please.
What the pearl needs.

Nice review, but could not find the bowl of trojans. The best part of it... local coffee comes to the heart of the Pearl. Check out the French pressed courier coffee. Frickin' delicious.
- Pros: local, local, local
- Cons: small

Micro-deli in the Pearl District's historic Gadsby Building serves eclectic sandwiches--like the pear, onion, marmalade and manchego sandwich--plus salads and desserts.
