Finally, a decent bar in the Pearl that is not filled with cigarette smoke! After a horrible encounter at Life of Riley's smoky bar and miss-leading information: "Yes, we will show the debates downstairs." However, after the 6 of us bought our drinks, and succumbed to the dark, dingy, smoky atmosphere, and the debates started; we were told that they would not in fact show the debates because the bar was "too" busy. What? Oh, the six of us and what 4 other people? Anyway, Blitz was packed! and the service was very good for the amount of people there to see the debates. I will go back. Every TV was turned to the debates and you could watch, standing room only, everywhere you went. At last.... I'm not sure how it will be on a regular night, we'll see....

Tonight was my first night at Blitz. After a horrible evening at the Rogue Brewery w/ a waitress that virtually ignored us all night, and being pushed and shoved while trying to get a cocktail at Vault, we stumbled upon Blitz and I was super pleasantly surprised. At first the upstairs was dead, and I thought maybe it was going to be lame, but then stepping down the stairs, the downstairs area was hoppin'. I loved that they had shuffleboard, air hockey, pool and darts, it gave it more of a college bar sort of feel. There was a huge wraparound bar, and service was extremely fast. The music was a little loud in the bar area, but you could easily step out to a different section and have it be a little more mellow. I dug the bathroom, it was roomy even though it only had two stalls, and I will remember to bring chalk to write on the walls next time (very cool!). I plan on coming back to Blitz for my birthday next month.

Pros: Upstairs/Downstairs, Pool, Air Hockey, Shuffleboard, Darts, Nice Waitstaff, No Cover

Cons: Music too loud in bar.

So not only does this bar have something for everyone... Air Hockey, Pool, Darts, Shuffleboard, a dance floor, hang out tables and a lounge area... But they have a HOTT bar staff... Especially the bar back... Josh I think it was.... Mmmmm! Ha ha! On top of which the calibur of people there were beautiful, men and woman! So for all the up tight morons that wrote bad reviews... You're not welcome! Go somewhere stuffy like Betty Fords or Aura, we don't want stuck up drama searchers there anyways!!!

Pros: Staff, people, drinks, games, music, seating, service, cleanliness

Cons: None

Just discovered this place recently. Great hang out spot with a great atmosphere and excellent food. Contrary to the reviews I've read, the staff here is great. Very friendly and very accommodating.

Pros: Great Food (Huge Portions) Cheap Drinks. Free Pool on Tuesdays

Cons: No Happy Hour food items yet (though I'm told it's coming soon)

i like going to blitz on weekend nights. The crowd is just about right and the staff is pretty friendly. drinks are a good price, but we go for the younger crowd and the games. they have darts, air hockey, pool, shuffle board... everything! they also usually have something good on the TV such as some type of extreme sports. the food there is pretty good along with a few beers. oh.. and i LOVE their ranch dressing. :) The only problem I have experienced there is that last night they ran out of quarters for the games! on a saturday night! blitz is a good casual place to drink with some buddies.

Pros: crowd, prices, parking, GAMES, food

Cons: they ran out of quarters

Have gone there 2 times for lunch. Both times the food came either lukewarm or cold. They seem to lose orders frequently. Having only 1 hour for lunch is pushing it for time. BUT!!!!!! During Happy Hour it's a different story. Drinks arrive frequently downstairs. Good old fashioned shuffleboard is free. The fries are the best thing! Every time we have gone, it's been pretty quiet, excellent place for unwinding before getting down to serious drinking.

Pros: Excellent Fries

Cons: Lunch food came cold on 2 occasions

I go out to watch the San Francisco Giant game and it was a pretty good place, but the waitress was very rude and she messed up my order and my freinds order. We decided to order a drink and it took a good 25 minutes. and my freind wasn't in the mood anymore so we paid and left with no tip. All in all, the drinks take forever and I will never go there again.

I went here for happy hour on a weekday with a friend. The service was horrible and the side car I ordered was the worst I've ever had. The only positive experience we had was eating the calamari - the dip was really good.

I've been going there since it opened and the place is awesome! The music is sometimes too loud, but the drinks are cheap, strong, and tastey. The bar staff is pleasant, and always looking to make you happy. The shuffle board is fun, and it's a comfortable place.

Pros: Price, Strong Drinks, Bartenders, New, Fun hang out

Cons: Sausage Fest

Moved to Portland not too long ago and this has quickly become one of my favorite places. Everytime I go the crowd is the perfect size so its easy to get a drink and I don't usually have to wait to play pool, maybe for shuffleboard though. They also are one of the few bars that show the big ppv fights, which attract a good sized crowd and there are usually promotions too. I'm also a huge fan of the chalkboards in bathroom.
