Best beer in town!!

Every experience i have had at the tap room has been wonderful. The staff is amazing and tentative serving up the best beer and food in town. I love to sit on the patio on a summer day, the heaters during the winter are great also. all in all.... a great experience and a must try!

Great Beer

I recently visited MacTarnahan's for the first time and was very pleased to find this gem tucked away in the NW. There is great atmosphere for beer geeks, you can actually watch the brewers tending to the massive copper kettles that are next to the entrance of the restaurant. The service was great (WAY better than what you get from a McMenamin's) the food was wonderful (I had the prime rib and it was delicious), and the beer was superb (I had a Mac's, Slingshot, and a Crystal Wheat...all delicious).

• Pros: Lots of choices on the menu, not just "pub food"

Freshest beer in town and great atmosphere!!!

We have been going here for 7 years now and love it. The staff is awesome and fun. We absolutely love the Hefeweizen, its the best out there!! We often visit and sit on the patio, even late at night, you can still sit outside!! The food has huge portions and is always soo good! I highly recommend grabbing friends and visiting Mac's!!!

friendship, fun, and laughter

I loved the beer, the staff, and the food. These guys know what they are doing in the kitchen and certainly in the brewery. nice aptmosphere, friendly staff, can take kids, and there is a pet friendly area, and there is no smoke lingering to settle in my clothes. I recommend going in the afternoon to avoid the lunch and dinner rush. I also love the Portland classic "Mac's". Enjoy!

• Pros: true brewery feel, good food and beer
• Cons: the music was '80's.

A true brewery dining experience.

Wow, the beer is really fresh here and the bartenders and servers are very knowledgable about the beer and food. Huge copper kettles await you as you enter the pub. A true brewery dining experience. They were barbequing Copper River Salmon outside last time I was there. It was the best salmon I have ever had. It was really nice to sit on the patio and enjoy a cold beer and great meal. I will be back.

Great beer, food and service! Best fish and chips anywhere.

My husband and I love to go to breweries. Fresh beer and a causal atmosphere, MacTarnahan's Taproom rates at the top of our list for food and service. You can get a great burger or try their rotissere prime rib. My favorite is the wonderful Halibut fish and chips. The servers are friendly and the bathrooms are clean. Very important in my book!
