Great Place to take your car

Took the car into John, not knowing what was wrong with my vehicle. He went through and told me everything that was wrong with it and did it efficiently and in a timely manner. The cost was very reasonable and he was honest. I definitely would recommend taking my car to him again.

• Pros: Honest, Reliable
• Cons: none that I am aware of.

it's a good shop for cheap minor repairs. just be aware if u are environmentally conscious, that if go there for AC work they simply vent out the old r12 refrigerant. a retrofit to r134 cost me $125. the charge on mine turned out to be good but the guy did not check it because i told him it's low. it went like a little geyser of winter when he took out the valve. the ultimate culprit was my AC relay wiring job from when i fixed the cooling fan. now i am also responsible for the ozone hole.

Never again

Brought my truck in for to replace the power steering box. ($500) But when I took my truck home, on the third day I was four miles into driving and the engine started acting up and shaking. Thank god I was near a gas station. I checked the oil and it was 2 1/2 quarts low. My engine burned up. (my oil light was out) Hum, there was no oil leak at my house and I'd changed the oil two months before. So, I believe the 'kid' that worked on my power steering, when draining that fluid accidently drained some of my oil for some reason and didn't replace it. I had towed my truck back there. They said not their fault, It must have drained out on it's own in the three days of sitting at my house. Not possible, I asked them about preforming safely checks like other Auto shops do and they said they NEVER DO THAT. What?? Only if the custom request and pays for it.

They offered to reduce the fee of replacing the engine to $800 in labor and I must buy the engine for $2000. I never heard one peep from the engine before ..oh and I i bought the vehicle six months back and had them, 'Sunnyside Automotive' check the whole thing over and no engine problems or leak then!!! One way or another they did a faulty job. I towed it out of there and never looked back.

Sunnyside Automotive great service with a love for their customers

Sunnyside Automotive has been growing sense It first started. John only had a tool box and a jack and stands when he first started and has grown. And you dont grow like this shop has by riping people of. You do it by taking care of your customers and they do. He has a state of the art facility . His prices are just right and you get good deals and its done right the first time. He employes ASE certified workers. Very few out there offer the services they do.

• Pros: Lots of stuff can be done under one roof
• Cons: They are far away the worth the drive

Break your parts and tell you to have to replace.. I had a timing belt change and they break the tensioner and tell you it cost 300$ ... which they said to give discount at 200.. you know what it cost less then 80 at honda OEM...

Talented and Honest Mechanics are hard to find...

I have been using this shop for several years now, they have always treated me very well. They are fari and honest and in this day and age that is extremely hard to find. I go to them for all of my automotive needs including regular maintainace as well as major jobs, I have always been pleased with their fast, couteous service and extremely reasonable rates, I highly recommend them.

• Pros: Super nice folks, know thier stuff, willng to work with you...
• Cons: Sometimes the shop gets very busy and you may have to wait a day or two to get it.

Good service, nice people. Overall good experience

John did a great job with my Towncar. A full tune up, alignment, and brake job was done while I waited (about an hour or so). He even fixed my loose column shifter at no extra charge. And to top it all off, offered lunch while I waited. I declined but appreciated the gesture. Price was dirty cheap for all of the work. About $50 less than anyone else that quoted me plus he did the column work too.

I read the other reviews here and while I can't speak for everyone, I doubt these guys would do you wrong. They're pretty up front about costs and the work they'll do. I'll probably go back again in the future.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I've never felt so cheated and taken advantage of in my life. I truly felt a bait and switch was pulled on me and I will never bring my vehicle back to this merchant. I came in for one thing and left with a bill that was 4X what was quoted. I was also charged for items that I never authorized. Unbelieveable. I truly believe what comes around goes around and this merchant won't last with this kind of service. For those of you that claim that you got something for "free" (tire change, jump, reset of the "check engine" light, etc), watch out because he'll get you the next go-around. Get EVERYTHING in writing and insist that he contact you should he feels any other repairs, besides what was discussed, needs to be fixed. Also,note that his rates on his website are a lie (he charges $75 per hour NOT $55). Also note that this merchant claims his speciality is "mufflers". Wake up people - if that's his specialty, I woudn't have him doing any "major" service. Good luck, but again, Buyer Beware......

They did a motor Job for me on my van . No problems fair priced and gave my family great service. I would return for other work.

Motor job was done two months ago and is still going great.
