Rock N rose is located on East Burnside, along with other vintage boutiques and bars. My first impression was a really cool DIY -looking interior, very organized and a comfortable place to shop. The staff has always been really friendly and full of help and smiles, they definitely lack the snobbiness of some other potentially cool vintage shops around town, which is nice!! I found my self a really cool jacket (that , yeah pretty much wear every day now) a great dress, and some awesome black boots..... let me talk about these for a minute, i work at a well known retail store, and a few weeks after i got these things, we got a VERY similar pair in for $120 bucks! wholly - wha?! I paid $20 for them at Rock N Rose. and I am PICK-Y with boots. So i left very happy. My boyfriend has been there several times, he's found some really good shirts and jackets, and he hates shopping. Ultimately I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants vintage clothing that you can wear everyday- you don't have to dig through the Kitchy-Elvis-borderline-halloween costume stuff to find some really cool stuff. Its good style and affordable for everyone.
Pros: good Location, great selection, friendly staff, gift certificates
Cons: I am not a millionaire, cause I'd buy it all

I was glad to stumble upon one of Portland's newest Vintage clothing stores! The selection is great, with an atmosphere to match. I highly recommend stopping by to see for yourself.

What a rad store! Definitely a different feel than most vintage stores I've been to around Portland. The design of the store is really cool and the layout makes it so easy to find what you're looking for. I love that they have a little bit of everything new and used. It's hard to find stuff too - not what you usually see in stores like that. Their pricing is great, which is a major factor in finding vintage treasures. The people that work there are super friendly too. I hate when you walk into a vintage store and the staff acts too cool for school... They aren't like that at all. Every time I go in, they have new, fun stuff. I will go back for sure!

The store is beautiful. Probably one of the best looking shops in Portland. Staff was super friendly and the merchandise can't be beat. Thank you!

Last week, I was invited to a vintage theme party at a friend's house. I didn't have anything lying around the house and was a little stressed about the prospect of being overwhelmed in a typical vintage clothing store. I saw the ad for Rock N' Rose in the Mercury and thought I would check it out. The minute I walked in, I was extremely impressed. It has super hip and trendy decorations, is wide open and organized, and the service was outstanding. I found an amazing dress (for less than what I planned) and even got shoes and a purse to match. I have gone back numerous times to check out their selection of everyday t-shirts and jeans too. This store is a great place to find whatever you are looking for!

I stopped in one day on a whim after walking by a few times on my way to the Doug Fir, mostly because I could hear the Clash playing inside. It turns out it was worth it. They had a really good selection on vintage band shirts (my favorite) and some designer jeans for under $40. There were also a ton of western shirts and some pretty funky jackets. What was really nice (as a seasoned vintage clothing shopper) was that you don't have to dig through a crapload of junk to find good stuff. They are also the first place I have been to that has official Sailor Jerry clothing and accessories. The girl behind the counter was friendly and helpful and not pushy at all. It also looks really cool in there, it's all wooden finish and there is a fishtank by the shoes! I'll definitly be back. Highly reccomended.
Pros: Service is great. Awesome selection and cool atmosphere
Cons: Parking is on side street during rush hour.
