I agree with BrookeS117 Blue Skies and Butterflies does so many fun activities. They celebrate the holidays which I love. I also really enjoy bringing my son into his class and seeing the teacher baking cookies with the children on a snowy day (like today). It feel like a home. We love it. Thank you, Blue Skies & Butterflies.…
We've been at Blue Skies and Butterflies for about two months now and I can't tell you enough how much we love it. First, we've been very impressed with the staff and how the interact with our daughter. We also love all the fun activities they do here. They celebrate the traditional holidays and have a real turkey dinner for the kids at Thanksgiving time and cookies and crafts with Santa at Christmas time. We are a pretty traditional family and appreciate these things. It seems like a lot of places we've been prior to this don't do these things anymore. I'm also impressed with the grounds. There is a covered outdoor play area and a lot of trees and green grass. This is definitely the center we have been searching for and I can't imagine taking my daughter anywhere else. Thank you to everyone at Blue Skies and Butterflies, you are the best. Smile Smile Smile :-)…
i am surprised this place is even open!!!.
i am very shocked that this center is not even shut down. though as a parent i have met the most wonderful teachers i will ever meet especially in the cottage rooms; i am very disappointed with the
way things are run. both the owner and the assistant are not people's person and definitely need a practice in communication.
there are so many things wrong with this place that i wish it gets fixed which i think will take a miracle and a change of management; otherwise it should be shut down. the owner never follows through with the complaints and the concerns that the teachers have and when she tries she covers it up and makes excuses! the owner/director dint even know my name as a parent who had my child go there for 3 years, better yet i called to compliment the best teacher in the cottage (zamzam)and she dint even care!!! she treats her staff horribly! be aware!!!…
A Great Center for Me and My Child!. After searching for a center for over six weeks I found the perfect one for me and my son. We have been at Blue Skies since the beginning of July and have found the staff to be top notch. The center is on a large piece of property accross the street from Chelam school. There are several outdoor play areas and one large one that is covered. It is really important for me that my child spend time outside playing during the day and that is one of this center's strenghts. Another thing that I really like about this center is the staff. They really seem to care about my son and give me reports almost every day when I pick him up from school. I also like that they give me the option of bringing my child's lunch or having him eat there. He seems to really like what they serve for lunch so I haven't needed to pack him a lunch lately which is nice for me as a single parent. I would highly recommend this center if you are in this area of Beaverton. It is a nice place where I feel comfortable leaving my son every day.…
Many, many problems at this daycare facility.
Let me preface this by saying that I am NOT a former employee, but a parent whose daughter attended BS&B for several months last year. This facility tries to pass it off as a preschool, but is no
more than a daycare with very little educational activity going on. When our child was there, we found that there was very little consistency from day to day-- teachers would be moved from room to room for no apparent reason. Kids this age need CONSISTENCY, and there was none here. When we confronted the owner about it, she flat-out lied about what we had witnessed with our own eyes. As for the educational content, I'll just say this: their calendar of educational activities for one day while were there simply read "sing the ABC song." That's it. For the entire day. When I asked the owner about this, she replied that this was simply not up to her standards and would investigate it, which only confirmed my belief that the owner has little idea what goes on in the classroom from day-to-day. We really liked the two teachers that interacted with out daughter while we were there, but they were incredibly frustrated by the owner's inability to run the place effectively.
After finally getting fed up enough that we moved our daughter to another school, the owner wanted an 'exit interview' over the phone so that she could "improve her service." The entire conversation was nothing more than her lying and attempting to make excuses for every issue I brought up with her.
Since we've left, we have heard other parents who still have kids there talk about kids left outside unattended and kids put into corners for naps and 'forgotten.' Every single thing I have heard since I left has reinforced my decision to leave as the right one.…
Great Center - Visit Before You Make a Decision.
Recently there have been several negative reviews posted on City Search that I feel I need to respond to. If you read the reviews closely you will notice a pattern. These reviews have been posted
by a former employee, or friends of this former employee, who left our company on bad terms . All I ask is that you visit our center and make a decision for yourself. We have a wonderful center on 1.5 acres in the heart of Beaverton. While our center may not be the right fit for everyone, it may be the right fit for you and your child. All I ask is that you visit our center before you decide.
Warm Regards,
Mike Simmons

Terrible Place!. Don't bring your child here! This place is dirty and not well kept by all means! The children aren't learning on a regular basis, the staff is unattentive to the children, and the toys are bland and old. The center director is never on site, and is also unsupportive to the growth of this center. The lack of effort put into this facility clearly shows. Unless you want your children to be unsupervised, uneducated, or playing with broken toys I definiately would not recommend bringing them here. There are so many childcare facilities that are better than this! And this certain facility only goes downhill daily. Unless something magic happens, this place won't get better anytime soon!…
Horrible Place. This is the worst childcare facility ever! The director/owner of this facility should not be running a childcare facility. She doesnt know the first thing about how to handle a small child or an adult. She treats her employees horribly. The high teacher turn of rate is your first red flag! Interview a teacher or a family that has worked or attended this place and you will run fast. There are way to many kids to teacher ratio. The children are left to fend for themselves because there are so many children in one classroom. The teachers are not given the right tools to be successful. The director/owner is a manipulating individual who thrives on revenge. This is not a safe or happy environment for your child. If you love your children, do not take them to this facility. It should not even be open.…
Peace of Mind. As a father of four children I have experienced many different child care centers over the years. Blue Skies and butterflies is the best one I have found so far. First, the center is in a beautiful natural setting with large mature trees and a lot of natural spaces for the children to play. Second, the staff is always friendly and seems to really care about my kids. I can't thank the staff at Blue Skies enough for taking such great care of my 2 year old son and 4 year old daughter. You really have to visit this center to appreciate it.…
Thanks to BSB.
My son has been with BSB since he was two years old. He is now almost five and BSB has been a blessing in disguise for our family. Since our Son has started going there, our son has exceeded the
doctor’s expectations on education & motor skills. For the past two yearly checkups our family Doctor said that he is above and beyond where we would expect him to be for his age. On our last 4 year old check up, the doctor said that he was already at kindergarten level for education and motor function.
I was very pleased to hear this as my wife and I are very busy and cannot contribute as much as we would like to our sons education. His development thus far is purely from the teachings of the staff at BSB, and we cannot express our gratitude enough.
The Staff at BSB are always friendly to both of us, and show genuine care toward our sons experiences and education. The facilities are top notch compared to most other daycares I have seen, and the park like play area is a great place for the children to play. In addition they have a nice covered area outside for playing when it is a rainy day. This was important to us as our son always wants to be outside having fun.
In addition to their facilities, BSB has had many fun activities for the kids. I was and still am impressed with the level of activities they have. My son’s favorite is the Tumble Bus that comes every Friday (ask about it!). Trips to the zoo, Fire Department visits, Children’s theatre visits and petting zoo visits, all sorts of fun that my son tells me about!
I cannot say thank you enough to the director and staff of BSB for making my Sons schooling experience a positive one, not many kids say they want to go to school, but mine does.…
