Excellent

Dr. Lewis gave a great exam and was very thorough. He took the time to explain several things and made it an educational experience. The staff is awesome. I couldn't make it into pick up my glasses so they took the time to drop them off at my house!! Thank you!

  • Pros: Great Staff and Excellent Service

EXCEPTIONAL!!!

by Nancy12

Dr. Lewis gave me a great exam, it was totally thorough and I found him to be extremely knowledgable and friendly. A friend of mine went there too and was really happy with the office. We both thought the selection of frames were the best in the city both for afforadability and variety of styles. We think Dr. Lewis and his staff were terrific, and will definitely be back!

  • Pros: doctor, staff, frame selection, great "feel"
  • Cons: none

Not a good experience

by gandydancer2

I thought I'd try a new place since I'd been to Lenscrafters last year. No one referred me - I just went in because this practice is in my neighborhood. I was very disappointed with the person who helped me with the insurance. I was told that they accepted my insurance when I called to make the appointment and then discovered after the exam that I would have to pay out of pocket because they don't bill that particular insurance company! The receptionist also failed to warn me that I would be dilated so when I had to leave to go back to the office, I could barely see AND it was a very sunny day so those ugly cheap sunglasses they give you didn't help much at all. Dr. Lewis is not a warm and fuzzy guy either. He's all business and although he answered my questions, he seems cold and distant. I didn't buy glasses there and wouldn't go back. Just left a bad taste in my mouth.

  • Pros: Nice storefront in nice neighborhood
  • Cons: Staff, doctor

Best eye exam EVER

by frostypauly

I've been wearing glasses and contacts most of my life and have had many doctors over the years. Dr. Lewis impressed me right from the start. This was probably the most thorough exam I've ever had. Dr. Lewis really took his time and explained everything he was doing. I never felt rushed and he did tests I've never had done before. He seems to really care more for the heath of my eyes, than just the prescription for contacts. I think that was ultra important. Prescriptions change but not many take the time to really make sure you have healthy eyes. He made well reasoned recommendations and was able to answers questions about my eyes that no one has quite managed to give a satisfactory answer. His assistants were very knowledgeable about glasses and even give good advice on style. Over all, it was the best eye exam I've had. I left there feeling great about not only my glasses and contacts, but also about the health of my eyes. I will be recommending him to everyone

  • Pros: Thorough exam, answered every question. Patient and took time. Great staff
  • Cons: None

Great Experience! Very Thorough!

by bingonis

I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of going to the eye doctor. I often feel like I have been rushed out of the office with a prescription that I am going to have to live with for year that might not be exactly what is right for me. This was not my experience with Dr. Lewis. If I had the slightly doubt about which lens provided the best correction, he made sure that we spent the time to identify the proper choice. The office staff is very friendly and professional. My wife has also seen Dr. Lewis for contacts/glasses and had a great experience.

  • Pros: Dr. Lewis and Staff, Great office and selection of glasses
  • Cons: none

Great experience; handled everything so well!

by rdalt

From beginning to end, this was a terrific overall experience. The exam was thorough--not the typical factory--and I learned a few new things about my eyes that I never heard before. I received great service from the entire office staff and I have already sent a few of my friends. The office is new and sleek and very comfortable--check it out! Someone put a lot of good thought into that place, including their frames; I had to finally choose from about a dozen that I wanted. If you're tired of the same ol' run-of-the-mill place (like me) and don't want to wait forever and be treated like a number (like me) then you should check out these guys.

  • Pros: very professional; great service; excellent frame choices; wonderful "feel" to the office
  • Cons: can't think of any
