My favorite lunch spot

by hpugirl

This place in FANTASTIC!! The first thing you notice is the incredible attitude these people have ... they are so warm, welcoming and genuine - NOTHING like the indifferent service you get at other places! The food is great ... simple, but generous portions and homey favorites. Vegetarian offerings make me happy too! The veggie sandwich is totally simple, but soooooo good!

These guys know they're stuff and most importantly, they know how to keep people coming back for more!

Great work guys!

  • Pros: Big portions, great service, simple, good food
  • Cons: NONE

South east portlands best kept secret.

by bigbadheadwound

There was a guy who told me something once. When you own a business producing products for people, 3 factors are involved. As a customer you only benefit from 2 of them while the 3rd you sacrifice. Let me tell you about the first 2 factors. You get a product that exceeds many others in quality and quantity. You see the quality the moment you look at your food. You notice the little things that others have assumed trivial like the pickles are fresh and crisp, the bread is perfectly matched for the sandwich you are ordering, the chips are always fresh, they provide a relaxed atmosphere, and most important the cookies are huge and soft. As far as quantity goes, when you order a club from them it is so tall that even big guys can?t take a full bite out of it. When you order the Rueben (which is my absolute favorite), the meat and sauerkraut are perfectly matched and stacked so high it seems impossible that it fit into the to-go box. For some reason people today seem to be concerned with quantity, sacrificing quality, at a reduced cost. If you are going to compare Nosh to others then you will notice you need to throw down a few more nickels but I gotta say, if you eat there, you will realize the effort they have put into producing what I would consider a quality meal and you will not leave there hungry. I hope they stay here for a long time!

  • Pros: Call in your order and it is waiting for you when you get there.
  • Cons: .......... none .........

Great lunch spot!

by rocksportland

This place is very cool - with great sandwiches, pastries and lemonade. I really like what they have done with the interior and how welcoming the place feels. The service was fantastic. Not only was my order served up quickly, but the owners really made me feel very much at home and were very friendly to me during my visit. I'll definitely be back ...

NOSH's box lunch is the best deal in town

by kathy819

I've been stopping in to get an iced coffee on my way to work. I was way behind schedule one day and didn't have breakfast, so I ordered NOSH's breakfast sandwich. It was served on a toasted bagel with egg, cheese and sausage. You can choose your own cheese and meat! It was served FAST and hot and deffinately perked up my work day.

They also have a great deal on a sandwich box. The deli meat changes daily, but you always get to customize the "fixins". And it's 5 bucks!!!!

Next I'm tryin the Rueben. The girl next to me today ordered one and now I'm cravin it!

Thanks so much NOSH for your smiles every time I see ya and the great food and coffee!

Highly recommended, friendly place

  • Pros: quick, local/family run (those are the owners in the kitchen/behind the counter)
  • Cons: no cons
