best onion tart, great steak and salmon

Chef Heather and her staff created a fabulous dinner for 30 people. The hors d'voures were delicious as were the main entrees. The entire dinner was a treat, especially the onion tart, steak and salmon. We also enjoyed the chocolate brownies and strawberries with creme.

Chef Heather was very professional in the manner she presented the food and in her interactions with the guests. I would highly recommend her.

Beautiful, Creative Catering

Chef Heather prepared spectacular food for our small family reunion. Her descriptions of the menu suggestions were absolutely spot-on and she delivered exactly what she promised. Not only was every dish mouthwatering, the platters were so gorgeous we took photos! Overcoming the adversity of a 97 degree day, Heather and her staff cooked and served in a timely, friendly, and seemingly effortless manner. Hands down, Black Radish Catering is a winner!

Fabulous Food and Presentation

Heather catered the appetizers/sides for my sister-in-law's Baby Shower and made the most delicious tea sandwiches and wraps - plus some lovely, stylish and tasty fruit skewers. Perfect for our event. Her creative presentation made such a great impression on our guests and added such panache.

Her tea sandwiches were better than the ones we had at tea in London! All 22 guests are still raving about it.

Heather was so sweet and her food such a great value for the money - next time I'll have Heather cater the whole party!

Happy Birthday To Me!

I wanted to do something different for my birthday, so my husband and I decided to have a special meal catered to us at home. Chef Heather presented us with an excellent proposal (she really listened to what we liked) and we went for it. While our children enjoyed time with a family friend upstairs, we indulged in the most fabulous three course meal, complete with wine, fabulous conversation and romance.

Chef Heather is a consummate professional. The food was well presented and out of this world. She made the preparation and clean up seem effortless. The best part of the evening (excluding a wonderful meal with my husband sans children) was Heather's smile and friendly demeanor. She made us feel at ease and happy to be a part of my special occasion.

I would highly recommend Black Radish, especially Chef Heather, and we hope to use her services again in the near future!

The food looked incredible and tasted even better!

Not only was the food beautifully presented and delicious, but Chef Heather was so gracious to chat with me about some of the dishes. She was kind and fun to talk to. It was pure tastebud heaven!

The Black Radish rocks Healy Heights with amazing food!

Heather made our birthday party absolutely AWESOME! Besides being an amazing organizer, recommender of outstanding food and outstanding chef she also has a very warm heart and great way about her. She felt immediately at home in our kitchen which made us relax and feel "at-home" with her there. We can't imagine another event without her being a part of it. We feel blessed that we found Heather and will definitely invite her back!

Black Radish makes yummy food, including vegetarian :)

Black Radish catered my end of fall backyard BBQ, and they made this really delicious grilled tofu for the vegetarian along with the yummy grilled meat. The rub was good enough to make you not taste the ribs. Brittany is super easy to work with and relaxed. Will definitely call her when I need a caterer again.

Absolutely Fabulous Catering!

Flourish creates events for women in Portland to connect socially, enjoy great food and wine, engage in stimulating conversation and hear an interesting and inspiring speaker. Our monthly "salon" events bring together women from all over the area. Chef Mader of the Black Radish catered our August Meditation Salon to rave reviews from all of the women who attended. She not only created an interesting and delicious menu, she made everything from scratch using the wonderful and colorful bounty from our local farmers market! Heather creates interesting, unique and beautiful buffet presentations and understands the diverse dietary needs that occur within a group. She is efficient, dependable and works with your budget to create a WOW experience for your guests. We will be calling on Heather for many more Flourish events and I personally recommend her highly for catering or as your own personal chef.

Memorable Party - not just the people but the food too!

Yes, the final bill was more than the estimated cost. Its hard to estimate food costs that many months in advance in this highly fluctuating economy! Still, I am glad that you enjoyed the party as much as I enjoyed making those wonderful crabcakes your husband could not get enough of! :)

Fantastic Flavors

Our family hired Heather a couple months ago to prepare meals for our aging mom whose doctors had recently given her some dietary restriction. Heather has been incredible in accommodating Mom's special food needs, offering her own suggestions and insights from years of experience in handling similar situations. Heather has an impressive work ethic; arriving promptly, working efficiently, leaves the kitchen spotless, and the freezer filled with an incredibly variety of awesome meals! The chicken enchiladas are one of Mom's favorites! And the stew, and the Thai Chicken, and the..... Okay, she loves ALL of it! Along with being a great personal chef in terms of what she produces, Heather is an engaging person who makes those "business interactions" friendly and enjoyable.
