After several months of tension headaches and joint pain in my knees and hips, a friend suggested I go see Tracy Anderson for acupuncture. At our first meeting, Tracy asked me all about my medical history, the nature of my areas of pain, and asked about any other chronic conditions I might have. She was very kind and genuinely concerned, and I was happy about her holistic approach to the improvement of my health. I was also impressed by the acupuncture experience—the dark room, the quiet music, and placement of needles I could barely feel—which immediately sent a humming sensation all through me and felt fantastic. Tracy has a very calming presence, ensures a soothing environment, both during consultation and treatment, and provides an experience that is completely relaxing as well as healing. She encouraged my attempts at exercise and healthy diet, provided suggestions for eating choices and lifestyle shifts, and, most importantly, after less than 2 months of treatment, my daily tension headaches were gone, and my joint pain faded away. At each visit, Tracy asks about all of my past concerns or problems, and modifies the treatment to help in any new or pre-existing areas. I continue to go for acupuncture (and shiatsu) treatment because I want to maintain my well-being—and because it feels so good!

I have worked with Tracy in many settings: as a fellow student, professional colleague, patient and friend. She is a dedicated practitioner with strong intuitive gifts that allow her to provide insight into many situations. I appreciate the honesty and integrity she brings forth in her work.

I started my acupuncture treatment in the winter of 2006. I had suffered from severe TMJ problems for years. I had tried almost every dentist recommended remedy but found that most of them only sparked new types of pain or only temporarily fixed the problem. Most dentists suggested I have surgery, but I felt very uncomfortable going down that road after talking to other TMJ sufferers . . . I came to Tracy Andersen for help when I started to suffer from constantly reoccurring Charlie horses in my jaw. I was desperate for relief, as well as anxious because I had an up coming dental operation. I was afraid that any more dental work would ultimately lead me to surgery for my TMJ. I didn't expect much when I came to Tracy. I knew very little about acupuncture and eastern medial practices. I tried it because I was desperate. Now I recommend acupuncture to everyone I know. I truly feel like it was my salvation. I went from a girl who was terrified of needles to a girl that gets excited about them. I didn't think I could ever live without TMJ pain. I've been through two extensive dental procedures since my treatment with Tracy and have been completely without pain! This is huge! Acupuncture changed my life!

I went to Zenana for a acupuncture treatment from Meaghan and was really impressed by her technique and wisdom about the body. She is very compassionate and gentle therapist. I felt a million times better. I was pregnant and had some issues with numbness in my hands and she was able to relieve some of the discomfort. I ended up having a scheduled c-section because my daughter was breech, so when I went to the hospital I made plans with Meaghan to come the day after surgery. She came to my room with a herbal tincture and did a hour acupuncture treatment and I stopped the hospital painkillers that day and was up walking around. I really appreciate all her help and care she took with me and my family. She is truly a wonderful practioner. Thanks again. Willow

Dr. Woodruff is an attentive compassionate partner in healing. She enables and empowers me to move forward in my own healing process. I appreciate her acknowledgement of my knowledge of my physiology. After struggling with health issues for a few years, in about 2 months, Dr. Woodruff has helped me bring my health in balance, maintainable by me and my choices, not dependent on pharmaceutical companies' products. The Gyrotonic exercises that she teaches are a great companion to the naturopathy, and acupuncture significantly aiding total body wellness. I really feel like I am fully inhabiting my 6'6" of body again. I have recommended my coworkers and friends to her and will continue to do so.

I first saw Meaghan Woodruff after I threw my back out. It happened quite innocently one night when I stifled a sneeze so as not to wake my wife. The pain made me pass out. When I awoke I could hardly walk. I needed help getting out of bed, using the bathroom and getting dressed. It was fortunate that day that there was an opening in the schedule. I limped and hobbled my way into the studio where I was professionally greeted and treated to an introduction to Gyrotonic. 75 minutes later I walked out of the door standing fully upright and relieved. I have been coming back ever since. What I appreciate most about my sessions with Meaghan is her straightforwardness. She has a deep understanding of the body and helps me to view my body as a whole, not just as the parts that make it up. Of course, most importantly, she has helped me to be able to pick up my kids again without breaking my back. She also helped my wife during the labor of our 2nd child and helped to get her menses back on track after that birth. Our son has also benefited from her Naturopath expertise. We give her two thumbs up, for sure.

Pros: Relaxed studio environment; attentive care; timely service; evident results

I beleive it was through fate that I found Bloom Natural Healthcare. I was involved in an auto accident last year and as a result of it I required some ongoing accupuncture to alleviate the discomfort caused by the accident. That was the premise of my relationship with Bloom initially, but what I got from Meaghan (Dr Woodfruff) was sooooo much more than that. Through her sage advice and support I was able to reclaim my health. I was overweight and had high BP when I started seeing her, and 4 months after I began seeing her I had my BP into acceptable range and had dropped close to 25lbs. If you listen to her and take what she says at face value and force yourself to make the changes that she suggests then you will inevitably see and feel results. These are not the "take two of these and call me in the morning" kinds of life changes either. She will know you as well or better than your spouse after so much time, and she will take an unbiased and very caring approach to making you feel better all over. I would reccommend her to anyone that needs help with any ailment. I will be taking my wife to her for fertility treatment when the time is right. She does it all, and she does it all EXCELLENT.

Cons: she is so good that her schedule can be booked out a ways
