Fantastic!

I hired Ellie Winds to photograph my family at the Portland Rose Garden in November, 2008. Ms. Winds made us feel relaxed and at ease with her directions.

Furthermore, we were astonished at the amazing results of the final prints. She completely captured the essence of our family - the photoshoot was so fun! We're so happy with her work and will be hiring her again in the future.

The Photo and The Story

If you pause to consider Ellie's photographs individually, each image evokes a story. The broken formal chair cast aside in a dank warehouse reminds me of my favorite grand aunt whose life ended with dreams unfulfilled. My personal favorite is the black/brass staircase ('Don't Attempt While Drinking'). The vermillion and gold-hued passage guides one to the glow at the bottom, drawing the viewer in to the possibilities around the corner. It's 3-D magic in a 2-D medium! For me, Ellie captures moments that linger and refresh like a zephyr on a summer evening. If you ever consider using a professional photographer for an event, engage with Ellie... Her photography is art in its purest form.

Customer Service at its finest!

A mutual friend referred Ellie. Ellie was available on very short notice. She arrived on time and stayed to make sure she was able to get everyone photographed as well as checked to see if there was anything else we wanted covered during the event. Ellie is very professional, personable and took excellent photos at my kids Grandma's 80th birthday party this past summer. The photos were easy to access on line, a wide variety of shots were taken and an added bonus was having the CD available with all the pictures. I highly recommend Elliewinds Photography for your next event.

Combines beautiful photography with "mom" experience!

Ellie understands what it takes to photograph children. She took our daughter's one year photos. She showed patience, thoughtfulness and talent!! Ellie didn't mind changing things up as needed to find the best way to capture our daughter on film. We loved the hidden moments she photographed. She never made us feel rushed and understood the importance of keeping our daughter cool on a VERY hot day at the Rose Gardens. Her turnaround time was amazing!

Ellie photographed two incredibly important milestones in my family's life--high school grad and 80th bday party. Amazing work. Not only did she capture individuals in a natural, complimentary light--she caught the special moments in photos that tell stories of our relationships and magnitude of the event for us to cherish for a lifetime.

AMAZING photos!

Ellie has an incredible ability to capture personality on film. She took photos of my kids playing in the yard, catching expressions that I will treasure forever. She was extremely accomodating, working with my family's schedule and getting the proofs to me online within a couple of days. She presented us with a variety of close-ups, action shots, and photos in both color and black & white. Ellie's photos are unique...the best I've seen. I highly recommend her!

Beautiful pictures

We recently had Ellie take pictures of our three year old daughter. Ellie suggested meeting us at the playground and took some unbelievable photos including several of our family. She made everything so easy and enjoyable we hardly even noticed she was there. Then once we got our pictures back we were blown away. She was able to capture the beauty, emotion, and pure enjoyment of our daughter that we could never dream of doing in pictures we take on our own. I would highly recommend Ellie to anyone looking for a professional photo shoot!

Absolutely awesome, totally professional. She catches the spirit of the moment and person. She shot photo for my wedding. Everyone was amazed how well she did and the quality of the pictures were supurb. I would have her photograph every event.
