As management I just want to apologize to readers for the below comment. It is certainly not true and we are not sure why someone would be motivated to say such things.
get real

To start this off i must say that this place is very cool and i do seem to make it here every few weeks but and a big but the service is horrible and gets worse each time I have met the owner and he is just not a very nice man , i am starting to think this guy really doesnt care about anything we have complained to him aabout the service several times but it doesnt matter anyway the last time we were in he was very drunk and obviously more interested in all the hoochies instead of maybe helping bartenders get drinks so people dont wait 30 minutes for a drink we watch him pour his own drinks several times is this even legal working and drinking. He should start caring more about the customer instead of himself.
- Pros: food is decent
- Cons: horrible service
Great idea...horrible execution!

Me and a couple friends were looking forward to watching the USC/Oregon game. We were excited that there were lots of tvs and sat down to enjoy ourselves. We ordered a drinks and a few appetizers to start off - buffalo wings, sushi, and some coconut shrimp. The wings tasted like they were boiled (there were god-awful!), and the sushi rolls were crap (why even offer this if you don't know what you are doing?). We then ordered three different burgers and each order was screwed up. One of my friends buns for his burger was soaked with blood (he ordered his burger medium by the way). He was so disgusted that he sent it back and didn't want to eat anything else from the kitchen.
Honestly, I could have walked back into that kitchen and cooked everything myself and done an awesome job. This place is doomed for failure as it should be - there is obviously no manager/owner present gives a damn.
- Pros: Great idea with private rooms and multiple tvs
- Cons: Food, service is the worst I've had in Portland
Terrible. If I could give this place 1/2 a star I would.

After researching places to go and watch a specific college football game I settled on the Agency…just to try something new…BIG mistake. I called and made reservations 3 weeks in advance for myself and 8 friends. We arrived 10 minutes prior to kick off and were told that we would be seated at our RESERVED table in a matter of minutes…20mins later…10mins after kick off…we were finally seated at a table that was not showing the game that we requested, instead we were surrounded by 8 TVs playing another game. Another 20mins go by and they FINALLY put the game on that we requested (3 weeks earlier). We were finally able to watch the game, but without sound…in order to get sound they had to reseat the two people that were sitting near us (these two people had also had reservations to watch a specific game). Now there are 11 unsatisfied customers, just in our area. By this time we have missed almost half of our game so I attempt to talk to the owner about the issues…he basically ignores everything that I am say…while messing around on his computer and making all sorts of excuses about why we have had such poor service. He made NO effort to make our experience better and walked away from mid-sentence. It took forever for our first round of beers to be delivered…those finally arrived right around halftime. We drink a couple of rounds and then our snotty waitress came and told us that they will no longer be able to serve us draft beers in the basement and if we want more drinks we have to go get them ourselves. That was the last straw for us. I went upstairs in an attempt to talk with the owner AGAIN, but he was gone for the evening. I find the manager and speak with him about all of our issues; he seemed to be the only person with any sense at the Agency. He attempted to make our night better, but the damage had already been done. Needless to say the 11 of us will NEVER go back to the Agency. It was a waste of time and money.
- Pros: None.
- Cons: Service, attitude, facilities, etc.

Hello, I am sorry you had a bad experience. As the owner I just wanted to again say that we are sorry for your inconvenience. I apologize for looking on the computer for the reservation during our conversation. I was simply trying to find out what happened and let you know to give a better idea to you (and myself) of the situation and what led to it. I believe that we did bring your beers immediately afterward and comped a good amount of your bill. I also came to check on the group several times and was told that everything was great after a rough start. It seemed as though you were starting to get annoyed with my intrusion so I left your group alone. I also hope that our extra effort to order an obscure game for your group that showed on a rare channel didn't go unnoticed. We were very busy and tried to do everything we could to make your group happy (which 90% of the group was). I am sorry if our efforts fell short. If there is anything we can do in the future please let us know.
Great food and good service
by Stormi
I have been to the agency a few times and have yet to be disappointed. The food has always been good, as well as the service. A few freinds and I went down to check out the nighlife saturday night and had a lot of fun. I like the atmosphere overall and plan to go back soon.
- Pros: Good food at a reasonable price and fun nightlife
The worst service experiences of my life
by Nick Hanna
The single worst restaurant and service experience of my life. And I have seen a few bad ones. Every single server was surly and unhappy. All of them spend their time facing the bar tinkering with drinks and glassware. No interaction with guests except to give them a dirty look when you order a drink. Horrendous wine list. Bathroom trashcans were overflowing with paper towels. A guest knocked over a glass of water and three different servers gave him a dirty look. He cleaned up the broken glass and the water himself. Nobody even offered a towel. At 9pm about 20 extra servers showed up and made a racket for about 45 minutes setting up the bar again. During this period they all acted as if the place was closed and only the bar mattered but not the customers. This is a sports bar. I went there to watch a football game. They advertise themselves as THE place to watch football in Portland. And yet at 9:30pm with the game not over and the bar semi-empty they took our chairs away because they were turning themselves into a nightclub on Saturday nights. Took my chair away while I was watching a game!!
I cannot imagine how they possibly get a repeat customer. The absolute worst bar/restaurant in the world.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Unhappy waiters, bad wine list, poor management

Hello, I apologize if you have had a bad experience. I don't see how some of the items listed could have taken place. We would never allow servers to take a chair from someone and we never interrupt any games for any reason. If those experiences did take place please allow us to make it right for you and please let us know a little more about your server so that we can address the situation immediately.

Great Bar Upstairs - Private Party Room Downstairs
by FredDallasTX
We had a Bachelor party there and our group of 30 enjoyed it immensely. Folks went back and forth upstairs and were secluded from folks just cruising by when downstairs. Lots of beautiful girls joined us and everyone had a great night.
I recommend booking this for your Bachelor or bachelorette party.
Great place after a ball game as well as it is directly across from PGE Park.
- Pros: Good Music, Great Atmosphere
- Cons: NONE
No thanks

Went there yesterday. The servers are rude!
- Pros: Fairly good food
- Cons: Rude servers
Good Food, good music

This was my second time in Portland and I decided to check out the night life. My friends recommended the Agency, not only because of the quality food (for a decent price), but also because of the ambiance. The two different dance floors provided a change of pace for those who want different genres of music, the drinks were amazing, and the vibe was right on point! I would highly recommend the Agency to anyone wanting a night out on the town...and even to someone who simply wants to watch a game, and eat some good grub at the same time. Kudos!
- Pros: best of both worlds, good crowd + good food
Best in Class
by mbrisch
The Agency has everything - top location across from PGE park and near NW/Pearl, good food, sports going on non-stop and a 1st tier management team. You can go to watch a game during the day, or dance at night. Definitely a must-see place in Portland.
